To the moon... and back

 Hi there!

The moon fascinates me for as long as I can remember.

 A full moon is special, like the blue moon we saw recently (on my birthday!) ... but there is something captivating about a crescent moon. In my family circle, the new moon is lovingly known as "Hannelie's moon 🌙... So, now you know why I couldn't resist Bobby's challenge over at Just us girls !

Here's my card :)

I made a little interactive card today !

Bauhaus blocks - a Duo !

Hi there!

So happy to be back with two cards after a couple of days with complete loss of mojo 😟 . Not a good feeling when you sit down to craft and just feel...blank!

My crochet projects keep my hands busy when this happens ! Good to have a backup 😄 hobby!

So here's what happened in the craft room this morning :

Bauhaus blocks, layering stencils

 Hi there!

The moment I saw this stencil set over at Uniko, I knew it would be a great asset to my craft/stencil stash! I ordered it right away and today's the day to play and show what I made! 

I created two panels using different colors distress inks for two versions of basically the same card.

• Bauhaus layering stencils - Uniko
• Bauhaus-blocks-clear-stamps - Sentiment
• Silhouette cameo to cut the square with two rounded corners
• Adhesive foam tape
• Versafine black ink

Color Hues #64

 Hi there!

Time for a new color challenge at Color Hues !

                                                                                  

I used the opporunity to make a masculine card ... think it will work well for a teen boy!

I used :

• Stars cut with my Silhouette cameo
• Background blocks grid & Background blocks graffiti texture from Uniko
• Altenew Industrial diamnd gray ink
• Label love stamp set - Altenew
• Gray and orange card stock
• Adhesive foam tape for dimension

Guest designer - CAS on Friday - Stripes

 Hi there!

I am super excited to join the CAS on Friday challenge team as guest designer for this fortnight's challenge . The theme is : Stripes!

I used :

• Background blocks pinstripe 2 clear-stamp 
• Circle die
• Versafine black ink
• Rhinestones
• Adhesive foam tape
• 'Hi' cutting file from the Silhouette store DesignID #46984
• Silhouette cameo
• 'There' sentiment computer generated
• Picked raspberry distress ink

This is one of those cards I had in my head... and the idea turned out just as I hoped it would... love it when that happens!

A very quick and simple card, made by stamping the striped background, diecutting the circle, and popping it up with adhesive foam tape after rotating it 90 °. Finished the card off with the sentiment and matching rhinestones.

I love playing with stripes... so much fun things you can do. Looking forward to see your take on the challenge :)

Stencil Release Day & GIVEAWAY at Uniko

 Hi there!

Today is release day and as promised earlier I have another card to share, made with the new MOD Background builder stencil. 

This time I used it to make a Christmas card and tag !

I used sentiments from the Christmas-wishes-clear-stamp-set on both the card and the tag. Kept it really CAS to make the sentiment shine!

Inks used : Mountain pine ink from Altenew and Versafine black ink. I finished off the card and tag with a red flat back pearl.

Uniko : Introducing... Stencil Flower Power #6

 Hi there!

Welcome back to day 2 of the introductions to Uniko's new stencil release!

Today we are showing off the new Flower Power 6 stencil which is the larger version of the Flower-power-6 stamp set ! Another clever product designed by Bev!

As so many times before, I was looking for creative ways to combine products, and so decided to fill one of the wings from the English country garden butterflies stencil bundle with the flowers form the Stencil set. I also made tags from experimental 'scraps'  where I tested some color combinations.

Sometimes those experimental pieces look just fine when you die cut it! 😀

Uniko October / November Stencil Release Sneak Peeks!

Color Hues #49

 Hi there!

The 16th of the month and this means it is time for a new challenge at Color Hues !

                                                                             

Yellow and brown... both colors I love, and in combination it reminds me of Mid Century modern designs.

Uniko Has some awesome Mid Century Modern stamp sets and I had fun pulling out three of them !

Introducing... Stencil Tropical Leaf #2

 Hi there!

I am back here on the second day of introductions to the new mini release from Uniko !

Today we are showing off a new stencil - Tropical leaf #2 , the Monstera . The stencil consist of two parts. The stencil (negative part) and the mask (positive part). So ... many possibilities here!

I combined the stencil with Big-bold-wish stamp and die set.

Stenciled with Peeled Paint distress ink and Versafine Black ink .
