Life is short...

 Hi there!

There's a new release over at AlexSyberiaDesign Etsy store and I am so happy to share one of the cards I made recently with one of my favorites from the release!

I hope you can tell that I had so much fun playing with this gorgeous shoe image!

I did some paper piecing and used red vellum and a large square gem to design my shoes. I colored the rest of the shoes with different shades of gray Promarkers and added a sentiment I designed in the Silhouette studio. There are so many possibilities to make these shoes "your own". The sky is the limit... yes you can have a pair in all the colors of the rainbow . No need to explain anything 😂

With all the Covid restrictions going on it's been quite a while since I had the opportunity to wear heals and get all dressed up to go out. Looking forward to better days !

You can find the digi called "Be Girly" here . I saved the sentiment , feel free to download it and use on your shoe themed cards 👠

Loads of Lavender

 Hi there!

One of the things on my bucket list is to visit the lavender fields in France. I can imagine strolling through and experiencing all the color and fragrance !

So for now...until we can get rid of Covid , internet pictures of lavender will have to do, and lavender themed cards of course ! I had to play along at The card concept...and couldn't believe I had just the right image for the challenge !

I made a clean and simple card inspired by the whole picture . The theme, the colors, the texture and of course that bow!

 I used :

  • Breathe-in-life digital stamp from Power Poppy
  • Zig markers
  • Brick wall embossing folder from Tim Holtz/ Sizzix
  • Zig markers Pearls
  • Silhouette cameo to cut out the bow from gingham patterned paper
  • Sentiment designed in the Silhouette studio (shared below - you are welcome to download - right click and save)

Alex Syberia February 2021 Release

 Hi there!

There's some wonderful new digital stamps available in Alex Syberia's  Etsy Shop !

Over the next couple of days I will be sharing the cards I made using these beautiful images.

*** If you are using Instagram, please join us in the Instahop that's going on over there! Two lucky winners will each receive a $20 gift certificate!***

On to my cards...

You could say that I was in a very minimalistic mood while designing and making theses cards 😄

Four really quick and very simple cards. The first one has a little more detail (and work ) to it, but the rest where finished in a wink !

It just happened, and I love the look... hope you do too !

Card #1 using Hello-gorgeous digital stamp

For this card I traced the image in the Silhouette studio, and used the cut lines to cut out her glasses. I used the polka dot fill option before printing and cutting it out. For the lenses I used some shiny "plastic like' origami paper.

I save the sentiment for you... feel free to download it and use it on your cards or other projects!

Card #2 using Cute-donuts-set

Card #3 using Cute-donuts-set

For both of the above cards I cut the images out using my Silhouette cameo and designed the sentiment to curve around their heads, font used : KG Beneath your beautiful. I colored the little noses with a pink marker and used foam squares to pop up the images for dimension.

Card #4 using Cute-donuts-set

For this card I created a cutting file by tracing the image and created a small offset. I used the mirror function to create the second kitty. They were printed and cut out and adhered to the card base with tales overlapping to create a little heart. I finished off the card with a little enamel heart and colored their noses with a pink marker.

Font used for the sentiment : Someday Sans

  • Hearts, coffee mugs and 'latte' cut with my Silhouette cameo
  • Hearts colored with my Poppy Red Promarker
  • Black rhinestones

Its been ages since I shared one of my sentiments.

Here's a printable version of my partially printed, partially cut sentiment :

Fonts used :

Rockwell Nova & Hello Valentica

Card inspired by

Fusion card challenge - Playing with the sketch (flipped upside down) and inspiration photo. Picking up on the theme of hot beverages, the gingham pattern and color combination. Also reflecting the scripty font on the black board , in my sentiment :)

Sending birthday wishes

Hi there!

In my early days of cardmaking, I remember finding most of my inspiration in card sketches as a starting point. Nowadays, I really love getting my inspiration from beautiful pictures, little scenes with different elements really sparks my imagination!

Inkspirational challenges have the most charming picture this week , I couldn't resist ... there's just something about a street scene with a bicycle !

 I used :

Challenge detail :

Inkspirational challenges

As you can see, my card is quite a literal interpretation of the picture. The pink, the window arches , the bicycle and flowers.  The white on black shop signs were the inspiration for the sentiment design.
