Sun!

Hi there!

I have two cards to share on this beautiful Monday morning. Both inspired by the challenge at Addicted to CAS where the theme is : SUN!

The second one uses the positive from the first cut. It's a card for a very brave 18 year old girl, the daughter of friends of us, who was diagnosed with leukaemia about a month ago, and is receiving chemotherapy at the moment. Just a little bit of sunshine and a word of encouragement to her.

Here is the sentiment of my first card, as always you are welcome to use it!

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Hello sunshine

Hi there!

The cue word at Casology this week almost got the best of me ... almost... and then with the help of Chrissy's sketch at Case this sketch, this happened in my craft room today ;)

Oops, almost forgot about the sentiment...

Thanks so much for visiting me today... have a great week!

Case this muse.

Hi there!

I just love it when I'm stuck on an idea for a design, and a challenge pops up to get everything sorted.

I was thinking of an interesting way to case Cornelia's funky card at the Muse card club, when Case this sketch  published their sketch yesterday. Thanks Julie!

And I had a PING  like my friend Bev calls it. That moment when a design comes together !

I wanted to use paint (like Cornelia did). Found this pearly poster paint in a drawer, and the rest is history! I added texture by dabbing the panels with the paintbrush just before the paint was completely dry.
I didn't plan to use vellum for my sentiment, but the space left on the right side panel was too small, and it would mean an out of balance small sentiment if I wanted to squeeze it in there! The bonus of vellum is that it doesn't cover up whatever it is you want to show!

Another sentiment for you to use!

I will also enter the Simon says stamp anything goes challenge.

Happy birthday Ardyth!

Hi there!

Today is the day to celebrate Ardyth's birthday!

Ardyth is a real inspiration on my creative journey. I have learned SO MUCH from her, since we met a couple of years ago, here in our beloved blog land!

I just love to see how she is able to dig deep and look at things in a different way... the Ardyth way. If you know her, you  will know exactly what I mean!

I have a card for you Ardyth, inspired by one of the challenges where you have made your mark...

The card concept

More layers than you will do yourself Ardyth, but bold , graphic and with a little BLING!

So THIS time I will file my card into the clean and layered file ;)

I will also enter the Simon says stamp Anything goes challenge.

My background is actually an overlay { The pixel scrapper } to make digital paper. But I printed it, trimmed it to size and colored random squares with a grey Promarker.
I added a yellow Silhouette cut flower and my own sentiment .

Yes, Hope you will have fun on your special day... may it be  a GREAT one!

Thanks for visiting me today!

Be*YOU*tiful

Hi there!

Back with my second post for today!

This time it's for 2 challenges:

Casology ~ BEE

&

Less is more  ~ recipe {use a die}

We'd love you to display our banner

And another sentiment for you... the BE part's font is called JI Honeybees found at FONTSPACE.

I colored the 2 bees with a fine point marker.

Thank you so much for visiting me today!

Just because I care...

Hi there!

It's been  a while since I played at the Just us girls challenge... when I saw the gorgeous inspiration picture Vicki lined up this week, I could't resist!

I masked and sponged my diagonal stripy panel with Versafine onyx black ink and washi tape. I love the process of making stripes... so fun!

A Silhouette cut flower and my own sentiment to finish of my card .
Yours to use if you wish!

Thanks so much for looking!

Happy birthday friend!

Hi there!

It's a long weekend here in the desert! yay!

Got up late this morning... hubby and I had a nice brunch at our local coffee shop, and I got crafty after that!

I used my favorite butterfly cutting file (again!)

I had inspiration from a few challenges:

Case this sketch ~ sketch

&

Seize the birthday  ~ no topping options (anything goes)

&

4 crafty chicks ~ no stamping.

&

Addicted to stamps  ~ anything goes

Grab our Badge!           GRAB OUR BADGE!

As always... I share my sentiment :)

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

In high tide or in low tide...

Hi there!

Firstly... a BIG thanks to each and everyone who popped in to congratulate me on my DT position at AAA cards, the brand new CAS challenge blog!

Also good to see so many familiar faces signing up there as followers...Thanks again!
Fun guaranteed!

On to my card for today... may I say that this is one of those cards that came out exactly the way I hoped it would !

Love it when that happens!

I traced a free clip art anchor image using my Silhouette cameo software, to get cutting lines. It was slightly rotated to the left and cropped to be "off the edge" as shown on my card.

The stripes were masked , using washi tape , and sponged with faded jeans distress ink. I wanted to add a pop of red, but pearls or bling were not appropriate, and I don't have red enamel dots. So... I made my own by punching out 3 small dots of red card stock, and added glossy accents. Enamel dots that almost cost nothing!

My own sentiment to finish off my maritime themed card!

I hope you can use it too!

I will link up my card at the following challenges:

Keep it simple  ~ Maritime

&

Addicted to cas  ~ Off the edge

&

Crafting when we can ~ Use a die cut/ Silhouette  cut.
