Dragonflies fascinate me ... Those delicate wings and the way they effortlessly travel through the air... simply amazing !


So I had to play along when I saw the inspiration photo at Fusion card challenge !

 I used :

Hi there!

I was so excited when I saw the Casology challenge is running for 2 weeks... because I had this idea  for a card... and then the opportunity presented itself in combination with the Wedding challenge at Addicted to CAS 😊

 I used :

• Free background cutting file (still looking for the link... sorry !)
• Fonts used : Amastery Script (&) and Honeymoon (mr/mrs) 
• Created the rings by simple offset and welding techniques in the Silhouette studio 
• Silhouette cameo
• Craft foam for dimension
• Rhinestones

Closet inspiration #2

Hi there!

Happy Saturday to you!

I'm here to show you the second card in my promised closet inspiration series. No idea how far I will go with this but it sure is fun, so expect more! If you missed the first card I made inspired by a piece of clothing from my closet, click here to take a look !

The inspiration: a little shift dress I just LOVE. One of those dresses you can slip on and feel 'dressed' time after time :)

I used:

• Circle cutting file : Designed in the Silhouette studio by replicating one circle in rows and columns. Welding everything together and framed to cover the card front.
• Happy sentiment cut with my cameo (Font : Jenna Sue)
• Birthday stamp from Happy Little Stampers
• Vellum
• Rhinestones
• Altenew inks as shown in photo

This dress was just begging to be 'cased' 😁. A card makers dream with so many elements for inspiration. There's the ombre purple/pink, the geometric pattern and the beautiful sheer top layer of fabric. I love the card as much as I love the dress! I hope you like it too ;)

Abstract birthday card

Hi there!

It's been way too long since I made a masculine birthday card. So... when I realized there are some challenges going on at the moment which could work perfectly for a 'man' card, I grabbed the opportunity to make this card:

I used:

• Cutting file by Hero Arts in the Silhouette store called graphic pattern 1 ~ Design ID #11169
• Silhouette cameo 
• Black Sharpie to color 3 selected rectangles
• Sentiment designed in the  Silhouette studio . Font used : DK More or Less

There are so many ways you can use this file! Changing colors and techniques will give a different look every time! I decided to use the frame as a guide to place all the cut pieces and removed it after placing the pieces. Everything was cut twice and layered for dimension.

Fusion : St Paddy's Day

Hi there!

Wednesday already ! Time flies ... 10 days before St Patrick's Day!

Today's card was inspired by both the sketch and the inspiration picture at Fusion card challenge.

I turned the sketch upside down :

I used:

• Bouquet digital image from an online coloring book. Colored with Zig markers and cut out with my cameo
• Vase cut from a clip art image and inked with Altenew inks
• Sentiment designed in the Silhouette studio - font used lemon Cookie sans
• Enamel dots
• Fun foam to pop up the upper panel

Flower celebration!

Hi there!

One of the (many) reasons I love my Silhouette cameo, is the freedom it gives me to create.  If I get stuck not having the 'right' stamp at hand, I can always cut a stencil ! The possibilities are endless. Same goes for sentiments. Adding the right sentiment is like sealing the deal on a successful design 🙌

Debby provided the inspiration this month. A beautiful Azalea as a single focal point. I wanted to reflect that in my design , and of course the fabulous color palette .
