Good luck to you!

Hi there!

Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to congratulate me on my win at case-this-sketch-challenge-6!

I really am thrilled that my card was crowned as the winner!

So here I am again, playing along with this week's lovely sketch.

CASE this sketch #7

Also entering:

 kis-challenge #2  ~ Washi tape
{*check out this great new CAS challenge blog!*}

I made the strips by sticking washi tape on trimmed card stock. I popped it up with foam tape for dimension. The little swallows were stamped on a scalloped piece of card stock, and finished off with blue rhinestones.
I swapped the color panels after the first division, just to add a bit of interest ;-)

The sentiment by me done digitally, and yours too... if you want to use it... you're welcome!

Thankful

Hi there!

Thursday means it's time for a new challenge at dutch dare-card challenges!

This week we are THANKFUL. You can link up those Thanksgiving cards, or thank you cards if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving .
We are sponsored by robyn's fetish this week!

I made a thank you card, as we don't celebrate Thanksgiving.

The polkas were created by sticking punched circles to the card base. This technique is also called 'faux embossing.'

Sharing my aha moment!

Hi there!

What does a dress, a rose bowl, a lampshade and a butterfly have in common???

{ scroll down for the answer!} - { it's got something to with a die cut (or 3)}!!

Here's the first card I have to show...

And the second one...
Same die cut , just without the top part and flipped  upside down to make a rose bowl.

But wait... there's more - I don't have a card to share for these, only an example.

A lampshade...

Or a butterfly...

Using these 3 dies!

For my butterfly, I used only the head and antennae of the existing butterfly die. And of course the biggest leave of the 3 leaves for the body.
{I can't remember the exact manufacturers of each die, but I do know that I ordered them all from joanna sheen }

Now that's value for  money, don't you think!? The same little dress set has a die for which I have another great idea, but I'm saving that for a DT project next week... Ooh I'm excited!!!

I also have the sentiments I made to share.

On to the challenges:

Life is like a bicycle

Hi there!

Hope you are enjoying a creative World card making day!

I also think this a good day to say thanks to all my faithful followers! Thanks for visiting, commenting, or even just for looking! So good to know you're out there... I really appreciate each and every one who came here, felt inspired by what I'm doing, and decided to "hit the follow button"!

On to the card and sentiment I have to share today...

I've used the medium sized bicycle of the set to stamp the upright panel on the left, the largest one for the focal point.

I created the first sentiment before I started the card, but in the end it just didn't look right with the more graphic feel of the card. I thought I'd share it with you any way. The second one captured the style of the card better... I think ;-)

Challenges:

that craft place  ~ make your own background
CRAFT  Challenge ~ sport (cycling)

freshly made sketches ~ sketch (rotated 90 degrees to the left)

Hello friend

Hi there!

This week at cas-ualfridays Michele & the girl Fridays really are challenging us...  to make a card inspired by your own blog header.

I used the same fonts to create the sentiment on my card as the ones I used to make my blog header, and added a little dotted bow inspired by the dots in the font of the blog description. I also used the same neutral colors as in my header.

Very CAS :)

You are welcome to use the sentiment!
