Closet Inspired #10

Hi there!

I am so exited to share another closet inspired card with you! It's been way too long since the previous one!

This time no flowers... only stripes... with a twist! The inspiration piece -  a very comfy t-shirt I just want to wear everyday and everywhere 😍

I used :

  • Scraps of colored card stock cut into strips and glued to a piece of paper
  • Sentiment cut with my silhouette cameo - 'Yay' - Andara Script & ' it's your birthday' - printed on vellum Andara Uppercase
  • Central diagonal panel cut with a craft knife, popped up with foam tape and moved to recreate the pattern

Super simple card made with minimal supplies!

It's also been a while since a shared a printable sentiment :

Closet inspired #8

Hi there!

I love CΓ©cile's sketch at Freshly made sketches this week! I thought it was just the layout I needed to make my next closet inspired card!

Another floral & stripe design... what can I say... I love the combination and find it irresistible both to wear and as design elements for my cards :)

For today's card I focused just on one cluster of flowers and not to recreate all of the pattern... That would just be too much for a CAS card πŸ˜„

Altenew Pretty Pansies

The inspiration:

I used:

A little something I learned while experimenting with different layers of color on the pansies, is to not stamp the first solid layer. Just leave it out. The second and third layer cover the whole flower except for the yellow part (see my card). You can then use a marker to color that area instead of stamping it because when you stamp the bottom layer say for instance in light blue, and you want to add some yellow as accent color, you know what happens... yellow and blue makes green !

Thanks for visiting me today!

Wishing you a wonderful week.

Closet inspired #7

Hi there!

Sometimes you just need a little nudge to get direction again ... thank you Nancy for steering me back to my closet inspired series of cards πŸ’—

Making these cards inspired by something from my closet need a special thinking cap and maybe that's the reason why I took a little break .

Inspiration for today's card came from a new swimsuit I bought just this week! I fell in love with the flowers, pattern and colors the moment I saw it. To top it all... it's comfortable and fits like a glove!

My card:

I used:

  • SSS Beautiful Flowers stampset
  • Zig markers
  • Unbranded quatrefoil stencil
  • Silhouette cameo to cut out the stamp
  • Altenew ink
  • Versafine black ink
  • Misti stamping tool
  • Rhinestones

To be honest... when I started the card I wasn't too sure how the design will translate to paper... more so because the whole look is so far from my CAS comfort zone . But I love the end result ! The only thing I would change is to add a little more pink to the flowers. IRL the flowers do look more purple than pink though!

  • Silhouette cameo
  • Birthday sentiment : Design ID #50178
  • Silver glitter

Adding my card to the Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge : Birthday gallery .
