A dangling snowflake

My card were very quick to make. I used a snowflake I bought as a Christmas tree decoration. because I don't have any snowflake stamps or dies! (Yes really! I live in the desert remember! ;-)

This one is especially for my friend Ardyth and her love for all things shiny. Look Ardyth, it's glitter!!!

I couldn't resist adding that little lens flare to the gem while editing the photo!

The polkas were created by sticking punched circles to the card base. This technique is also called 'faux embossing.'

Buttons & bows for DDCC

Hi there!

This week at dutchdare-card challenges we invite you to link up those cards with buttons and bows.
I decided to go masculine and created this card looking like a man's pin striped shirt, with a paper bow tie made with a dress die cut!
I have cut 2 dresses, using only the bottom part of the dress, and where the 2 parts came together, I placed a little rectangle card stock to hide the joint.

The buttons are also die cuts.

Here is the die, with the components I used.

Fall is in the air at DDCC!

Hi there!

For many people (including me) the most beautiful season of the year... Fall/Autumn!

This week at dutchdare-cardchallenges , we want you to link up those Fall cards!
Bugaboostamps is our sponsor this week, and I used Autumn-leaves-Girl to create my card.

I created my 'frame' with wood  digital  paper I downloaded  and printed. I can't remember the exact site, but THIS is very similar.  The strips was cut to size and the corners created by cutting each strip at 45 degrees.

The image was colored with promarkers and the sentiment created with a Crealies alphabet die.

...using my daisy die, adding a piece of vellum and brightening it up with a little bling!

I think I discovered a great way to use up all the handmade paper I hoarded in my early days of card making. It makes great flowers... it's really soft, and bends and folds just the way you want it to!

For the centre I created a mini rose to finish it off nicely.
