Today is all about... U !

Hi there!

Combining challenges to create a card are sometimes just as much fun as making the card itself!

Today's card is an example !

today is all about you

Up close:

today is all about you

* Edited... spot the mistake! Seems as if I got my alphabet mixed up... silly Q!

It is also an example of exactly what I love to do when I design - combining 'traditional'  stamping and digital elements which I design in the Silhouette studio.
So what is stamped, and what is from the studio?

The alphabet strip on the right hand side, the kraft heart & the sentiment were designed in the Silhouette studio, printed with a printer, and cut with my cameo.

The wood grain pattern on the heart was stamped with a background stamp from Kaisercraft and Versafine Onyx Black ink.

The gingham pattern behind the heart was stamped with another Kaisercraft background stamp and Adirondack Brights ink (Ranger) in Watermelon. 🍉
I partially inked up the stamp to create a distressed look.

The font I used to cut 'today' is called... wait for it... Watermelon-script  🍉 (not planned, I promise!)

The alphas font is Courier .

I created a digital sentiment based on my card for your personal use. Feel free to download and use!

The challenges :

The paper players  ~ Sentiment as focal point

Just us girls ~ Red, Black & Kraft

Less is more  ~ Alphabet

Thanks for visiting me today!

Have a great week 🌼

The streaked heart over the red gingham pattern is great! The special feelings with your receiver began long ago (gingham pattern) and have endured to today (heart and "today")! Superb!

That is VERY fun how you combined the challenges! I love the letters up the side with the "U" switched around and in red. Very clever! There's so much to love here -- the wood grain, the gingham, the sentiment (thank you for always kindly sharing). Enjoy your day!

Eenvoudig wonderlik gedoen, jong!!!!!
Groete en 'n lekker Dinsdag!!!!

Lots of fun elements on this card! The addition of the red plaid really sets off the woodgrain heart. Beautiful sentiment, too. Thanks for sharing it.

What a great card! You could add XOX in red over that Q if you wanted to fix it...not necessary, though.

Such a fab card, Hannelie! I love how you combined challenges... very creative and I love the impact of the bold heart and pop of red on the U matching the gingham. I wouldn't have spotted that naughty Q if you hadn't said!! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)
