Hi there!
So happy to join the CAS watercolour January challenge this month as guest designer, after winning the November challenge!
It's also my first card after some time off because of Christmas and new year celebrations !
So... it feels good to be 'back in business' 😁
My card:

It was unintentional, but after I finished the BG it made me think of the northern lights, which is on my wish list of things to see... one day!

Hope to see you join Bonnie & Loll's snowflake challenge this month !
I will be back on the 16th with a reminder card!
Thanks for visiting me today ☃
Hugs and best wishes for an AMAZING and very creative 2017!

It's also my first card after some time off because of Christmas and new year celebrations !
So... it feels good to be 'back in business' 😁
My card:
Up close:
- I created the background with my Zigs, by scribbling the colors on a piece of acetate , then spritzed it with water, and dragged my watercolor paper trough the wet paint. After it dried, I die cut the rectangles (memory box).
- I popped the 3 panels up on the card base, using foam tape.
- I finished off the card by adding tiny die cut snowflakes, a sentiment cut with my Silhouette (font : Aprilla script) and stamped the wishes part with Versafine black (happy little stampers : Everyday sentiments)
- Tiny rhinestones to add a little sparkle.
It was unintentional, but after I finished the BG it made me think of the northern lights, which is on my wish list of things to see... one day!

So beautiful Hannelie. The background does look like the northern lights ... that would be so awesome to see in real life. Love the mix of colours and those sweet little snowflakes. Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer this month at CAS Watercolour!! xx
Gorgeous Hannelie!
I love how you die cut your beautiful artsy Zig background piece into 3 panels. Your snowflakes, rhinestones and die cut sentiment are the perfect embellishments to keep your design CAS. TFS and so happy you are our CAS Watercolour Guest Designer for the month. Happy New Year, Nancy
Loving the clever background on this really pretty card x The lights are on my wish list too x

This is STUNNING!!! Love, love, love!!!
Yes! I thought of the Northern Lights too! This is so gorgeous and I love the detail of dividing the watercolor panel in three. Happy New Year to you, Hannelie!
Beautiful colors and blending with the Zigs, Hannelie! The piece does look like I imagine the Northern Lights look! I love the way you've die cut the bacground piece which adds extra interest! Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer at CAS Watercolour this month!
This is so pretty Hannelie! My favourite colours and I love the dimension you have created with the popped up panel & die-cut word. Happy New Year! Hope the year is filled with good health & lots of love & laughter!

Those colors are so pretty together! I love winter/holiday cards in nontraditional colors. Congratulations on your win at CAS Watercolour.
Beautiful Hannelie, I love the design and the colours you used. So pretty
Gorgeous card...love those sweet colors.
Very pretty, Hannelie! I love the way you "dragged" your card through the scribbled, spritzed colors too!
Stunning card. I so love the background you created. Thanks for sharing how you made it.
Your card is simply stunning ... I love your choice of colours and cutting the panel into three adds so much to the design. Brilliant!

Gorgeous card, love this colour combination, Cathy x
I love that background, Hannelie, and how you broke it up into three panels. My Mom loved those colors and had me paint her bedroom almost like your card.
GORGEOUS colors! Love the wee white snowflakes and the popped up inked panels. Nice smattering of blings too :)
Gorjuss.
I'm thinking about buying ZIG markers too, so I'm very interested how are you satisfied with them.
Hugs, Keti
Hannelie, you've created another beautiful card! LOVE those inked up background rectangles! As always, you've done a magnificent job!
Your watercolored panel is fabulous! Gorgeous card!
Funky, fun and perfect as ever Hannelie. Love your colour choice and the split panel add interest as well as great dimension. Thanks so much for playing along at Less is More and a very happy new year to you! Sarah x
Pretty, pretty! Interesting technique for your watercolor background. Love it!

Lovely make and I LOVE your colour choices

Your gorgeous panel certainly caught my eye in the LIM gallery so had to come over for a closer look and wasn't disappointed. :)
Beautiful card Hannelie, I especially like the way you've used 3 rectangles instead of just one. I'd like to see the northern lights too but I'm not too fond of the extreme cold!
Loving your split panels, Hannelie, and such pretty colours and great dimension. I hope you see the northern lights one day. I was lucky enough to go on a short trip to Lapland in 2007 but the night we went on a trip to see them, no-one flicked the switch! Oh well, you can't win them all.
Thanks for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
Such a lovely smoosh of colour, Hannelie ... and fabulous dimension with the three pierced panels behind that crisp white sentiment ... gorgeous! Northern Lights ... yep, on my bucket list too! Hugs, Anita :)
What a beautiful and vibrant background Hannelie and your pretty snowflakes look right at home on it. Hope you get to see the Northern Lights before too long!
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Happy Little Stampers and I hope you will join us again soon.
Hugs
