CAS watercolor challenge : guesting !

Hi there!

So happy to join the CAS watercolour January  challenge this month as guest designer, after winning the November challenge!

It's also my first card after some time off because of Christmas and new year celebrations !

So... it feels good to be 'back in business' 😁

My card:

Up close:

  • I created the background with my Zigs, by scribbling the colors on a piece of acetate , then spritzed it with water, and dragged my watercolor paper trough the wet paint. After it dried, I die cut the rectangles (memory box).
  • I popped the 3 panels up on the card base, using foam tape.
  • I finished off the card by adding tiny die cut snowflakes, a sentiment cut with my Silhouette (font : Aprilla script) and stamped the wishes part with Versafine black (happy little stampers : Everyday sentiments)
  • Tiny rhinestones to add a little sparkle.

It was unintentional, but after I finished the BG it made me think of the northern lights, which is on my wish list of things to see... one day!

I am adding my link to :

Less is more : Dimension

Simon says stamp ~ Anything goes

Happy little stampers ~ January watercolor (anything goes option)

Hope to see you join Bonnie & Loll's snowflake challenge this month !

I will be back on the 16th with a reminder card!

Thanks for visiting me today ☃

Hugs and best wishes for an AMAZING and very creative 2017!

Hannelie

I love that background, Hannelie, and how you broke it up into three panels. My Mom loved those colors and had me paint her bedroom almost like your card.

Your gorgeous panel certainly caught my eye in the LIM gallery so had to come over for a closer look and wasn't disappointed. :)

Beautiful card Hannelie, I especially like the way you've used 3 rectangles instead of just one. I'd like to see the northern lights too but I'm not too fond of the extreme cold!

Loving your split panels, Hannelie, and such pretty colours and great dimension. I hope you see the northern lights one day. I was lucky enough to go on a short trip to Lapland in 2007 but the night we went on a trip to see them, no-one flicked the switch! Oh well, you can't win them all.
Thanks for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
