One design: Three ways.

Hi there!

I had so much fun in my craft room yesterday combining Silhouette cuts with watercolor, like I did last week with THIS card!

After I finished the first card with the colorful background, I used all the bits and pieces that were left over and created another watercolor background to use those pieces. It was almost like building a puzzle :)

I have cut an extra flower frame to use for the rough planning and positioning of the colors for my background. It picked up some of the colors from the background, and a third card was born!

So here's number one:

Number 2:

Number 3:

The collection:

I used distress inks, rubbed on a piece of acetate , spritzed  with water. and smooshed the paper onto the acetate. I repeated the process several times until I had something I thought can work.

I added a birthday sentiment from Altenew, stamped with Versafine ink and my Misti.

The Calla Lilies are a design from Tanya Batrak Design ID #208553, in the Silhouette store. I cropped the image by welding a frame to it.

I have this perception that Calla Lilies are "funeral flowers" but decided to break away from that thought  and use happy colors to make birthday cards!

Love the way all 3 cards turned out... I would love to hear which one is your favorite ?

Inspired cards! In particular, i LOVE the second one....just dynamic and different. I grew up with calla lilies in our garden, so definitely not thought of as funeral type flowers!

Oh my GOODNESS!! These are STUNNING!!! I think my favorite is the second card. I am going to have to see if my Silhouette works still. I have one of the oldest models and have not used it in forever!!

WOW! Great way to create three beautiful cards, Hannelie. Checked out the link to your last silhouette post --- another stunning card. Love all three of these cards. Hard to pick a favourite, but maybe #1 for me because it shows more of your gorgeous acetate smooshing. :) Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx

Hannelie, I love all three cards, what a fantastic trio. if I had to pick a favorite it would be the first one with all the white space and the pretty colours peaking through. Thanks for joining us at CAS Watercolour.

All three are fabulous; however, I definitely would pick #2 as my fave.

I like them all a lot, but if I'm forced to choose, I think it would be #2. Calla lilies are such a simply designed flower, and I think the simplicity of this card beautifully reflects that.

Beautiful collection of the acetate smoothed cards, Hannelie! I would pick #2 as my favorite - I love the way the white Calla Lilies bring out the beautiful smooshed background from the aperture! Hideko xx

All 3 of your calla lily cards are gorgeous and so creative, but if I had to pick one, I think it would be #2 because the lilies pop more and love the simplicity of all the white. TFS all 3 Hannelie. Hugs..

Groetjes, Gerrina
