Hi there!
We have a sketch with so many possibilities this week at The paper players !
I must admit I felt intimidated when I saw this week's sketch. I thought : "How on earth am I going to tackle this and still make it feel like me!?"
There's much more going on than my usual style, but the moment I decided to use a word (sentiment) as the vertical panel, everything else fell in place quite easily!
The cutting was done with my Silhouette, except for the little zipper like borders. I used a border die from Paper Smooches to finish off the edges.
To create the happy sentiment, I used the font Cooper black. I moved the letters around a bit, and welded them together in the Silhouette studio.
So... go ahead, make this sketch your own! I can't wait to see what you create!
I am adding my link to the anything goes challenge at Simon says stamp as well as the color challenge at CanYouCaseIt
Have a great week!
Hannelie

Oh so bright and beautiful! And I love that bold happy going sideways! Fun card!
Love the horizontal happy. So cute.
I seriously love this card! It is probably one of my favorites of your designs! Love the way you used the sketch and the colors too! Very cool card!
So clever Hannelie! Love it.
Gorgeous design, Hannelie - LOVE these colors together (would never have thought to try them, but they are dynamite!) Also turning the big happy die is a great idea! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
Goed idee om het verticale paneeltje te vervangen door een tekst. Mooi en vrolijk, Hannelie!
What a take on the sketch. Those notched, interlocked blues and yellows with the white strip - man I love that.
Lovely bright card. Reminds me of summer. Can't wait to get rid of teh snow and rain we are having here. Hugs, Keti
Absolutely stunning take on the sketch! Those colours are gorgeous & the way you have pulled all the elements together, fantastic!
Zulke heerlijke zomerse kleuren! Doen me denken aan strakke blauwe luchten en een warme zon... Mooi hoe je de schets weer hebt gebruikt! Fijne week!
Oh how happy!! LOVE the colors and how you used the happy sentiment!!
You did a fabulous job taking the sketch and turning it into a Hannelie-style card! Love the bright colors and fun edges.
Hannelie, I am sorry you were intimidated by my sketch! You certainly wouldn't know it by looking at this amazing card! I love the big, bold "HAPPY"! Such a great take on the sketch. The zipper borders are so FUN! Thank you for making my sketch shine! XX
Wow! If this isn't a gem to behold, I don't know what is! Sooo unique and awesome!
Great way to incorporate the circles into your design! Love the blue, white and yellow combo! Did you know those are the colors of the Ukrainian flab...and also the colors that our entire town gets decorated with each summer when we host Canada's National Ukrainian Festive...40+ years running!
We are off to NZ early Tuesday morning so will not be around to visit unless I have an afternoon or two of free time (as if!!!) and free wifi...so will touch base when we get back!
Fresh and bright and certainly you, Hannelie ... puts me in mind of a day on a glorious beach ... fabulous! Hugs, Anita :)
Well done . Super bright and the happy makes me happy.!!!!!
What an awesome take on this week's sketch Hannelie - the vertical 'happy' is inspired! Love the zippy detailing too. This is one fantastic card!
I can't imagine you being intimidated by ANY sketch or challenge...this is just awesome! I love that you used the big "happy" for your vertical panel, and the little dicuts are adorable!

Hello Hannelie! This card is amazing! I love how the word happy is on its side and the boldness of it. Great job! Thanks for joining us at CYCI...Dawn
Groete
