Hi there!
It's time for a new challenge at CASology !
The cue this week is :
Hmmm not something you see me doing too often (that's on a card ;) Stress I do from time to time, but distressing... not so much!
So with my thinking cap on, my mind wandered to distressed jeans... and adamsel daisy in distress, and a card was born!
Although I seldom use any distress techniques on my cards, I was surprised to see what an easy way it is to add texture to a design!
To create the distressed looking pocket, I just folded a piece of lightweight card stock a couple of times, gave it a light scrunch, opened it and smeared it lightly with faded jeans distress ink.
I framed it with a silhouette cut 'frame' cut from denim patterned paper.
Added my favorite pink daisy and some silver glittered 'rivets'.
Finished off the card with an older sentiment you can find here.

So clever and creative! Remember acid-wash? Those were the days! lol!
Nice! I love this technique and your card is super cute :)
Creative thinking again on this card. Clever use of the crunched card/paper all set off with that fabulous daisy and those 'silver' rivets x
This is awesome, Hannelie!!
Love your interpretation--and your distress jeans. This is a super card.
Simply FAB-U-LOUS! Hannelie ... your cards have me swooning every time. Perfectly textured. Brilliant design and totally inspiring. Thanks as always for playing along and sharing at Less is More. Sarah x
Love your jean pocket card, Hannelie! Novel way to create the required texture for the LIM challenge this week! "Limited Edition" is an understatement! Beautifully done.
Love how effectively you've combined distressed with less is more. Lou x
I really don't know how to create the distressed look. I think yours is wonderful! It adds a lot of dimension and interest to your card. I like that you chose to distress only one element, because I like its juxtaposition with the CAS look on the rest of your card.
I love this card, especially the cute little tag. What a great solution to the distress look!
What a wonderful card! How awesome that you came up with the "distressed" jeans, then added all the to make it into a jeans pocket!
I immediately fell in love with your card! This is sooo creative! Distressed jeans...clever clever :)
So cute and clever Hannelie!
Fun and so clever, Hannelie ... the sweet bloom and shimmery 'rivets' are so pretty with that brilliant distressed jean pocket ... fabulous! Hugs, Anita :)
I just love your take on distressed! So cool and fun:). I wish that I had silver glitter rivets on my jeans!
Stunning card as always. Karen x
Wat gaaf om niet alleen een kleur distressed te zien, maar ook nog eens textuur! Weer een mooie kaart van jou hand! Groetjes, Gerrina
So clever, Hannelie! Reminds me of the acid washed jeans of the 80s. :) Love the happy pink flower too.
Wonderful card Hannelie. I definitely get your distressed jeans inspiration!
So clever, your distressed jeans pocket!
What a stylish design, Hannelie! Love the look of distressed jeans and how you did your sentiment!
Another 'clever as ever' idea! You truly are brilliant!!!
Love the distressed denim paired with a pretty pink daisy - you totally have the 'hippy' thing going on here! I'd bet that if you carried this theme down to the bottom of the pant leg, the hem would be all frayed out too!
Sweet rivet brads...they look almost identical to the ones on the pair of jeans that I'm wearing as I type this!
Your distressed denim pocket is fantastic. Just like Ardyth said 'acid wash jeans'--oh those were the days!
What a great take on distress Hannelie and the texture is fabulous!
Thanks so much
Chrissie

Love this technique on your card. The colors are great, especially the bright pink daisy. Such a fun card. I'll have to try to add texture.
Sorry to be so late commenting, what a super texture card Hannelie, looks amazing!
Thanks for joining our challenge

Very, very clever, Hannelie! Immediately thought of that Country and Western song 'Baby's got her blue jeans on' by Bob McDill. Remember that one??;-) Such a fun take on the cue!!
Joe, vrou, dis eenvoudig stunning!!! Volpunte!!
Groete
