Sketch time at LIM!

Hi there!

It's a very quiet and peaceful Sunday morning and I am here to share a card I made yesterday.

You know I can't resist a great sketch... And this exactly what Chrissie and the team at Less is more are giving us for this week's challenge ... A FABULOUS sketch !

Friendship card with folded element and transparency

Friendship card with folded element and transparency

Friendship card with folded element and transparency

Ever since I bought this double sided polka dot paper , I wanted to do something featuring  a fold somewhere or somehow. Thought this was a great sketch to do just that !
But yes, if you fold the lower part up, the card would not be able to stand... it needs 2 feet just like we to stand up straight... so I added a transparency on the inside . Not only does it make the card stand up straight... It adds cool interest I think ;)
The 'hey' is part of a 3 word phrase from the Silhouette on line store. The friend created digitally and the butterflies were left overs from this card.

Thanks for the great inspiration LIM!

Enjoy you Sunday... blessing to you and thanks for visiting me today!

I love the look of the transparency! It truly does add interest to the card. Such a clever idea! Your double-sided paper is lovely, too, but one of the most striking features is the font of the word "hey." It has such a bold flourish. Love it!

This is fabulous, Hannelie. Loving the transparency and how it looks like the butterflies are lifting up the fold. The swirly 'hey' is fab too.
Thanks for sharing with us.

Hi Hannelie, I know it has been a while since I last commented. I have injured my back and typing bothers my spine. I have been looking at your posts and I have seen some amazing cards. I love all of them. Todays is so cheerful and I love the design. Thanks for sharing. Edwina Brown

I see your name winning challenges all over Blogland and I'll bet this one is another one, Hannelie! It is genius and gorgeous!! I remember when it was popular to fold-over the corner of double-sided patterns on our cards and I've always loved the idea, but you have modernized it and taken it up a notch by using the acetate!! Hugs, Darnell
