Fresh from the runway!

Hi there!

As promised yesterday... I had another idea for the 200th sketch at Freshly made sketches. In my mind's eye I could see it as a starting point for a card inspired by this week's Runway inspired  challenge.

So here it is... I couldn't decide this time which shot I like best, so I am showing both ;)

Botanical inspired birthday card

Botanical inspired birthday card

The flower is from the Silhouette on line store. Design ID #77150

The fern leaf is a dingbat font. The letter z from Janda flower doodles.

I added liquid gold pearl to the centre of the flower and around the end of the leaf.

I really wish I could tell you that I did the blended background , but unfortunately no... my inking ability doesn't stretch that far! I used the filled gradient function (designer edition provides) to create the background.

To explore the detail of the dress I zoomed in... and noticed that her sandals don't look the same! That's was something new to me!

I used the sketch upside down.

Thanks for looking!

Have a great weekend!

Fabulous card! Love all the softly colored 'white space'.

The background is stunning! Thanks for sharing the tip! I thought that you were THE Master Blender of all times when I saw your card! Your cleverness and close relationship that you have with your Silhouette are tops! Never in a million years would I have thought to use the Gradient Fill feature as you have here! You're brilliant!

Yeah, what's up with the sandals? Is this a new trend that we've been missing out on?

The gradient colour is gorgeous, Hannelie ... thought you'd been busy with ink and sponge! Gorgeous bloom ... such lovely layering! Heard of different laces ... and socks ... but sandals ... that's a new one!! Hugs, Anita :)

Beautiful card! That flower is really pretty, and I liked the way you used the fern as your dividing line. After your comment about the sandals, I had to zoom in on them, too. I also noticed her little box clutch that is covered with the same fabric (or at least the same design) that is in her dress. Very haute couture!
