I am sure you are all familiar with the feeling of accomplishment when you made a card and you love the way it turned out.
Whenever I make a ONE layer card that I love, you can multiply that feeling with 100 ! So your guess is right that I (if I may say so) I am sooo pleased with the card I am about to show you!
I took a few pictures of the work in progress:
Masked with a Silhouette cut stencil and stickers (the inside of the ring binder kind) |
Started to add ink (messy hey!) |
Masked removed and starting to add colour to the dots with my Promarkers. |
The sentiment I created is so simple but I will share it with you.
It's been a while since I shared a sentiment, so to make up for that I created 2 more!
To use just click on the image, right click and save on your computer!
Thanks so much for visiting me today!

love this so much. I really need to pull out my silhouette!
This is so cool! I would have been scared to put to much black ink, but you have made a stunningly bold card.
Wow, this is fantastic Hannelie! Love all those bright polka dots with the black...awesome card.

Absolutely love how you have made this. I cannot imagine doing this myself simply because black and I dont work so well together. I could see my card with the best set of CSI fingerprints all over it :) . You are really brilliant.
I'm not surprised you're so pleased with this fabulous card, Hannelie ... so you should be! It's bold, fun, whimsical ... and brilliant! I'm thinking winner ...! Anita :)
Kan me voorstellen dat de voldoening na het maken van een OLC zo groot is! Mooi gedaan met een mask van de silhouette. De kaart ziet er zo strak uit en die gekleurde bolletjes zijn super vrolijk! Fijne week, Gerrina
I am amazed at how sharp and clean your card looks after using so much black ink. I am quite certain I would have had inky fingerprints somewhere on the front of the card. Your result, however, is perfect and gorgeous!
Yes Hannelie... so familiar with what you are saying :) And this is one hell of a card :) I love it, love the style and everything about it :) Hugs Dora xxx
Your card is sooo beautiful! Really clever the way you have coloured it. Thanks you for sharing your sentiment, too. I am definitely going to use it!

I just love your fun card and I can't believe it's only one layer....very cool! xx
You are SO clever Hannelie. At first glance I thought 'oh no - she's used patterned paper as a layer' but I just saw your name underneath and though now way will Hannelie have slipped up! Safe to say you rocked it once again with your fun, colourful and amazing originality. Love it. Thanks again for the sentiment for mine and looks like I've a few more here for another time!
Thanks so much for sharing and taking part.

Wow this is so amazing :) love those colorful dots against black !
Verskriklik oulik!!!
Groete!!
What a beautiful card made for our 'houses' challenge at Pile It On! Thank you for joining us and for making this amazing creation. I hope you will join us again soon.

Thanks for the pictures of your process, Hannelie...I would never have figured out how you got the colors of the polka dots by coloring over the black background. Your technique is such a fabulous idea! And the whole card is fabulous. I agree with so many other commenters who were fascinated that you could do this without black smudges somewhere else on all that white. Congrats and thanks for sharing your talent for making such a unique one layer card.
