Hi there!
Melissa and the team at CASOLOGY want to see grass as design element this week. I decided on green , green grass, because it's a luxury here in the desert!
This is not the first card I made that uses supplies from the grocery cupboard :)
I have used food coloring as water color 'paint' before, but for today's card, I went a bit further... I colored coconut powder with green food coloring to create my grass... so much fun!
I used a spray adhesive to stick the 'grass' to the back panel, and modge podge spray to secure and seal it.
A flower and sentiment to finish everything off.

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Wow, Hannelie! This is fabulous! I love how you made your own grass! Before you described how you made it, I was under the impression it was a photo of grass - so your grass is very realistic looking! Bravo!
Wat een super originele manier om het gras uit te beelden op je kaart! Lijkt me leuk om te doen en je kaart is er weer super mooi en CAS van geworden!
Hoop dat je een fijn weekend tegemoet ziet en je meiden niet te veel mist... Groetjes, Gerrina
Absolute perfection!

Goodness, Hannelie, this is genius ... such lush, verdant grass and the prettiest bloom ... brilliant! Anita :)
Hannelie, I actually thought it was a photograph of grass until I read your description! (Yes, grass is tough to find in a desert!) I love the rich green grass against the white card base. Thanks for joining us at CASology!
Holy wow that's brilliant! Such a clever crafter you are :)
Hannelie, this is genius!! At first glance I thought it was a photo of grass. LOL! So so cool! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
Coconut!? !!! Incredible! Oh, and by the way my dear AAA Cards DT- I really appreciate that you are a mixed media artist! I think digital work in addition to handwork cards is sooooo satisfying. But this card is in the NEATO zone.
So very CLEVER!!! Love it... WOW, this needs to be in one of those magazines where you are shown to use Household Items!! Thanks for joining us at CASology!!!
Wonderful lush grass and a beautiful flower.
