Hi there!

To appreciate my card, I'll have to explain every destination:

The card is for our oldest daughter who is in her second year, studying hospitality management & design. Her 'base' is in Neuchatel, Switserland, where she finds herself 6 months of the year. At the moment she is busy with an internship in the Caribbean on the island of St Lucia where the closest City is Castries. And... of course, Abu Dhabi is where we are, and where we will welcome her home for a month during the Summer holiday.

So this card will be put away, until the end of July, when she comes home... Still weeks to go, but I can't wait any more!

And because I shared a photo of the youngest last week with her birthday, here's the girl we miss so much!

A mothers day card

Hi there!

I really hope for a more creative week than last week! Mr Mojo left me and Mr Migraine accompanied me! Feeling better now, and for the first time in a long time I made a card I really like! :)

I am kicking off this week with a card using the classic layout provided by Jen from less is more challenge. This is just one of those designs I always come back to, because it works every time! Thanks Jen!

I colored the dahlia image with promarkers, and the sentiment is a digital one

I can remember my Mother's garden from childhood, with lots of dahlias in the most beautiful colors...

Happy 17th Birthday!

Today our youngest daughter celebrates her 17th birthday!
Feels like yesterday our little curly head came into the world, and now she's almost grown up and way taller than me!

I made this card for her:

Hello!

Hi there!

I really think a 'hello' card can be so handy for many uses... and since 'hello' is a word we all use every day, I decided to link this to the "word" challenge at casology too! I used the layout provided by Jen B from freshly made sketches.

The first time I used this loopy die cut , my friend Ardyth mentioned it looks like a telephone cord... so I had to use her great idea some time or another!

I am sharing my word today...

I'm back with a card for this week's casology challenge.

The cue word being :

Jenny from "I dream in paper" commented to let me know that this could qualify for the case this sketch challenge this week... looking at it now... I agree... thanks Jenny!

I guess one of the first things we learn our children, is to say "thank you" ! Therefore it was the word I chose for the challenge this week.

The word "thanks" was cut twice with my Silhouette cameo using pin striped paper. Cut once with the stripes vertically and once horizontally. I colored the positive image with rainbow colors, added glossy accents, and fitted it into the negative background.
The negative background was popped up with foam tape to give dimension.
