The Paper Players #284 sketch challenge

Hi there!

We have a sketch with so many possibilities this week at The paper players !

I must admit I felt intimidated when I saw this week's sketch. I thought : "How on earth am I going to tackle this and still make it feel like me!?"

There's much more going on than my usual style, but the moment I decided to use a word (sentiment) as the vertical panel, everything else fell in place quite easily!

Happy birthday card

Happy birthday card

The cutting was done with my Silhouette, except for the little zipper like borders. I used a border die from Paper Smooches to finish off the edges.
To create the happy sentiment, I used the font Cooper black. I moved the letters around a bit, and welded them together in the Silhouette studio.

So... go ahead, make this sketch your own! I can't wait to see what you create!

I am adding my link to the anything goes challenge at Simon says stamp as well as the color challenge at CanYouCaseIt

Have a great week!

Gorgeous design, Hannelie - LOVE these colors together (would never have thought to try them, but they are dynamite!) Also turning the big happy die is a great idea! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!

Goed idee om het verticale paneeltje te vervangen door een tekst. Mooi en vrolijk, Hannelie!

What a take on the sketch. Those notched, interlocked blues and yellows with the white strip - man I love that.

Great way to incorporate the circles into your design! Love the blue, white and yellow combo! Did you know those are the colors of the Ukrainian flab...and also the colors that our entire town gets decorated with each summer when we host Canada's National Ukrainian Festive...40+ years running!

We are off to NZ early Tuesday morning so will not be around to visit unless I have an afternoon or two of free time (as if!!!) and free wifi...so will touch base when we get back!
