Seize the birthday (weather)

Hi there!

I am here to invite you to play at Seize the birthday for the next 2 weeks ... where the topping this time is weather. Include any sunshine, clouds, etc. element/s on your card. Feel free to go with the no topping option, and show us any newly created birthday card!

                                               Seize the Birthday

Here's my take on the theme:

sunshine birthday card using transparency

... and another angle:

sunshine birthday card using transparency

To create an interesting background for my weather scene, I folded the bottom part of the card at an angle, to show the lovely polka dots on the flip side. I added a transparent panel on the inside in order to make the card stand upright. The sentiment , sun and clouds were all cut with my Silhouette.

Fonts used: pharmacy and fox in the snow.

The layout of my card was inspired by the sketch at  Less is more.

I am also linking my card to the anything goes challenge at Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge.

Thanks for visiting me today!

Very cool card, Hannelie. How do you adhere the acetate so that it looks ok on the inside? Also, I see that the back of your card is white. Did you start out with a white card base? Sorry for all the questions, but I love the look of this card and am wondering just how it was made. Hope you don't mind letting me in on your secrets. :)
