Hi there!
Although I've been busy sharing cards on Instagram, it's been quiet on my blog ! Time to do something about that.
Some amazing goodies arrived in the mail from the Simon Says Stamp - To Love release while we were away over the Christmas time, and today I am so happy to share the cards I made since I returned from South-Africa on Monday.
The first card features the Embossing Folder & Cutting Dies : Chickadee-gathering.
I added simple color using distress inks for watercolor smooshing, and stamped a sentiment from the Hibiscus Blooms stamp set using Versafine Black Ink. The birds were cut out using the coordinating dies, and popped up using foam tape.
For the second and third cards I used the Anemone-wreath stamp set. I achieved two completely different looks by water-coloring the first image, and by using an ink blended background for the second card.
I used Altenew inks to blend the background and partially stamped the image twice using Versafine black ink. I trimmed the upper panel to leave some white space and used a die cut sentiment called Fancy Love You, also cut from glitter paper and popped up using foam tape.
I used rhinestones to embellish all the cards above.

Thanks for popping in today! Wishing you a wonderful 2025 🎉

Lovely to see you back here Hannelie, and hope you had a great Christmas break in South Africa, and wishing you a belated Happy New Year and I look forward to visiting you throughout 2025. Now, on to your beautiful cards. The 3D EF with the leaves and pretty birds is beautifully coloured and it is great to be able to cut out the birds to add over the top for some lovely dimension. The wreath stamp is terrific and again some really lovely watercolouring, and then the last with the ink blended background with just the inked outline flowers and I love the finishing touches with the glittery die cut sentiments and the sweet little gems. x
Beautiful cards Hannelie, those birds are so cute. Lovely colors.
Greetings Miranda
