Creating patterns with colored card stock is fun !

 Hi there!

I had so much fun playing with colored card stock, and made two cards with quite a masculine feel.

I used beautiful colors from the new Crafty Necessities card stock by Altenew.

I used :

I started off by making the striped pattern, simply by cutting strips of card stock (1 cm ) and adhering them to a piece of white paper.

To make the checkered pattern, I cut up the striped paper, creating blocks measuring 1x1 cm now)
I adhered each strip to white paper again, with the next strip moved downwards one block every time to create the staggered/checkered look.

That's it... A fun play with pattern !

Thanks for visiting me today ♥

I love the strong look of the stripes and the staggered squares and the colours are very striking. The die cut layered crane is fabulous, and the pretty blue enamel dots and lovely stamped and die cut sentiments are wonderful finishing touches Hannelie. I think the staggered squares is a bargello pattern which is very effective. x

Fabulous designs and cards. Love you added the crane bird to your first, so different. I had a look at your second and thought WOW. So much patience for each square placement, then saw how you did it and still said WOW, it's very impressive. x
