Hi there!
Picking a favorite flower is almost like picking a favorite child ... Impossible :) The King Protea however, holds a special place in my heart because it's the national flower of South-Africa. It is called the King Protea because of the resemblance to a crown. Here's a couple of photo's I took some time ago of a bouquet of proteas I received.
I also took a photo of the items in my house which were the inspiration for today's card. The milk pitcher and sugar bowl were a gift from my eldest daughter. We use it every single day and every time I use it, I think of her. It's been more than 18 months since we saw her ... thanks to Covid :'(
The mosaic stand was made by my mom. I have several items of her beautiful makes which remind me of her daily. Also haven't seen my mom for 18 months. Same story.
So after that little introduction, here's my card :
I used :
- Protea-flowers stamp set from Hero Arts
- Colored with Zig Markers
- Versamark ink and Bronze Embossing powder
- Misti
- Silhouette cameo
- "Mosaic" stencil - brand not known
- Rhinestones
- Altenew inks
Challenges :
Time Out Challenges - Make a card inspired by something in your house ( optional twist Embossing )
The Flower Challenge - Your favorite flower
Thanks for visiting me today !
