Alex Syberia Digital stamp July 2020 release : Dreamy Rose

Fusion : Floral cupcakes

My card for this fortnight's Fusion card challenge !

I was inspired by the soft colors of the cupcakes, and of course the pretty flower decorations on them. I created a Fusion between the elements of the photo and the sketch :)

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration Post : Hello Lovely Clear Stamp Set

Hi there!

UNIKO is open for business again!

I am on the Uniko studio blog today sharing detail about a card I made with one my favorite stamp sets... the Hello Lovely Clear stamp set.

So many possibilities with one large floral stamp. For today's card I water colored it with my Zig markers :

I used :

• Hello-lovely-clear-stamp-set
• Mid-century-modern-squares stencil
• Simply-said-blocks - sentiment
• Zig and Koi markers
• Peeled paint distress ink for the BG
• Versafine black ink
• Pinpoint rectangle die from Memory box
• Rhinestones
• Craft foam for dimension

To create the BG, I applied distress ink directly to the stencil, laid the stencil on the watercolor paper and spritzed it with water. The first try gave a really bold result... too bold to use with an already bold focal point. I repeated the process two more times before I was satisfied with the subtle pattern. 

The colors of my design were inspired by Color Throwdown :

Pool Mosaic - hello

Hi there!

I've had the idea for today's card for a while now, and when I saw the cue card at Casology yesterday, I knew the opportunity arrived !

... and ...

It's another card made with colored card stock scraps !

My card is inspired by the beautiful blue mosaic tiles found in most swimming pools. I just love the effect of the glossy accents. Just amazing how many designs are possible with simple shapes. I've cut my squares with my Silhouette cameo, but this can easily be created using a square punch or small die... and if you're really patient, you can cut squares with a craft knife and ruler !

I used the grid (see last photo) to get perfect placement of my 'tiles'.

 I used :

• Squares cut out of 4 different shades of blue card stock
• Vellum
• Glossy accents
• Silhouette cameo
• Hello sentiment cutting file from Love svg
• Foam squares

Modern Peony

Hi there!

I'm still in the process of using up scraps of colored card stock :)  One of my favorite things to do is to create striped backgrounds for my cards using these scraps.

So... here's today's card :

Home is where the heart is

Hi there!

During this difficult time of Covid 19 I am so much more aware of how blessed we are to have a house where can be safe against the virus. A house filled with everything we need... especially filled with love. Even though this is a home away from our home country, I am so thankful !
