Altenew April inspiration Challenge : Take 3

Sometimes its fun to get messy with watercolors and forget all about clean and simple! That's exactly what I did today . To keep the design balanced, I kept the other elements minimal, just added a popped up frame ( inspired by the frame from the picture )  and of course a sentiment ... or three !

As many times before, I have several ideas to play along with the Altenew Inspiration challenge. Here's number 3 for April :

I used :

• Watercolor-frames-stamp-set
• Label-love-stamp-set
• Distress inks
• Versafine black ink
• Foam tape for dimension
• Watercolor paper from Bôzart
• Pinpoint rectangle dies from Memory Box

To achieve the watercolor look for the lower background panel, I smooshed the distress ink over a piece of acetate, spritzed it with water and picked up the color from the acetate with the ring stamp from the Watercolor Frame stamp set . I stamped quickly and randomly using the three colors as shown above.

At that stage I was actually finished, but there were some color left over on the acetate which I didn't want to waste. So I grabbed a piece of scrap paper and smooshed it using up all the puddles of color. 

I even made another card with the small piece left over from die cutting the frame. And guess what... I made a CAS card with it 😂 And now I think I like card #2 more than this original card!
