Freshly made sketches #354

Hi there!

It's time for my second post as guest designer at Freshly made sketches !

So many ways to interpret this sketch... all depending on which shapes or elements you decide on!

I rotated the sketch to landscape orientation and this is what I came up with :

I used:

  • Design ID #203104, Design ID #203107, Design ID #203110 from the Silhouette store
  • Mask cut with my Silhouette cameo
  • Distress Oxide inks
  • Black rhinestones
  • Foam tape for dimension

I love the fact that cutting files for the cameo can double up as digital stamps ! Some of the cutting files available are designed with too much detail to cut in proportions suitable for greeting cards. No problem at all... just use the color fill option ( I used black ) , create a small offset and only cut the outline... and there you have a digital stamp!

I am so exited to see what you create with Linda's sketch this week!

Sharing my card at :

Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge ~ Pop it up!

Thanks for visiting me today!

Hugs

I love how you've used the sketch to make the strips appear to be shelves with cute succulent plants. And I love the pops of bright colors against the white base. Beautifully done!

I LOVE how you took the sketch and made this lovely, graphic card. Perhaps its due to being an expat living outside your home country, but you have such a gift for creating the most amazing cards with "basic" supplies. It always seems that after I stop by your lovely block, I find myself looking at my own stash with new eyes. If I ran the crafting world, I would hire you to teach an online class titled something like: "Designing Elegant Cards with Everyday Supplies". Your just know how to create magic! :D

It's such a good idea to use the Silhouette to create digital stamps and then cut them out on the offset. They look fantastic on your card!
