Hi there!
The inspiration photo at The card concept shouts SPRING! I am sure you will agree.
So inspiring!
Some of the smaller stamps from sets often get neglected (by me), but from the first moment I saw this picture, I knew I wanted to use one of those neglected stamps to create a card for this week's challenge.
From another angle:
The stamp I used is from the Beautiful day set by Altenew, and even though I have used this set a couple of times before, I have never inked up this lovely little branch with flowers.
I started of by doing light blue water color smooshing, using my Zigs, and then stamped the image several times to create the background. I then colored the leaves and flower centers , also using my Zigs.
The butterflies were cut with my Silhouette, and they also got smooshed with watercolor.
After it dried, I stamped the black dots (one of the small accent stamps from Springtime azalea stamp set)
Black ink : Versafine Onyx black.
Also playing at :
Work it Wednesday ~ Flowers / showers
Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge ~ Flowers / showers
Simon says stamp Monday challenge ~ Splash it on (using watercolor)
Thanks for visiting me today!
Hugs
Hannelie

Such a beautiful card! Love those cute branches. Have a great weekend! Hugs Åsa
That's such a pretty little stamp and it looks just lovely on your card. Wonderful interpretation of the inspiration photo. Wish I'd gotten this Altenew set instead, but now I'm on hold till I use more of what I have.
Oooo, it's really beautiful. I love spring. Gorjuss layout and colouring is just perfect. Hugs, Keti
I've been thinking about using those same kinds of neglected stamps as of late, too. This is just a beautifully watercolored card! Those branches are so pretty and delicate, and the watercolored sky is perfect. Love the butterflies, too! Wonderful card!! Have a great weekend. Bev
I'm not sure I've used the part of the stamp set either, Hannelie, but I sure will now. Scattering them across your card is a lovely way to use it.
It's a beautiful sunny day here today and your pretty card is the perfect way to celebrate the melting of the new dump of snow we had yesterday! I love the soft pastel 'spring' colors and FABULOUS cascading design layout :)
This is amazing!! I love the pretty water color and the lovely butterflies!!
