Muse Christmas visions #12

Hi there!

It's a Christmas card... yes!

If you've been with me for a while, you will know that I don't make Christmas cards before I get the Christmas 'feeling' ! But if you get challenged by the muse herself and I quote: "I want to see your take on this card" ;)  well then you just instantly GET the Christmas feeling!

So Marika, this one is for you ... thank you for the inspiration!

I must admit, I struggled to get beyond those cute characters. Then I remembered what this challenge is all about... to take the inspiration and make it your own. So I tried did !

I focused on the colours and pattern (dots and stripes) .

I translated the stacked gifts to hanging Christmas ornaments by turning the layout upside down.

The ornaments are dies from a Sizzix set. Instead of using the stamp set that accompanies it, I decorated it with punched dots and silver enamel dots, and silver peel off stickers.

The sentiment is part of the stamp/die set.

This is Marika's beautiful card:

Thanks for visiting me today!

I love that you took the inspiration in your own way - that's exactly the point of Muse and MCV! Great bold colours and patterns and a very festive feeling! So glad you joined us this week!

Omg! I laughed out so much reading your blog post! You know, we Finns tend to be some what straight and forward.. And straightforward so to speak. (So blushing in here.. ) But anyway, I'm so glad that you didn't mind my unpolite manners and made this card! It is beautiful and very clever! Thank you so much, Hannelie! I think I owe you a bouque of flowers.. At least! Have a great week!
