Hi there!
In 2 day's time, our youngest daughter celebrates her 18th birthday. It's also her best friend's birthday today, so I think it is safe to say she will be too busy to take a peep at mom's blog, and I can show you the card I made for her!
I used a stencil to sponge the panel at the back with '18 ' in shades of pink, purple and turquoise.
For the front panel I chose vellum and a sentiment cut with my Silhouette, because I did't want to hide too much of the stencilled background.
With the help of the sketch from Retro sketches, this card came together quick and easy! Love it when that happens!
Also entering the CAS challenge at Simon says stamp.

Such a wonderful card, Hannelie ... fabulous rich colours and I adore the vellum sentiment panel! What a beautiful photo of you and your gorgeous girl ... Veels Geluk, Danielle! Anita :)
This is a perfect design for the sketch. It's so nice when you can personalize the card. Happy Birthday to Danielle, although she looks likes she's thinking "Oh no, not another picture."
Ag stunning!!! Baie geluk met haar verjaarsdag. Sjoe - 18. Dis 'n oogblink ne?
Hannelie, you used the sketch perfectly and the stenciling does show up quite nicely through the vellum. thank you so much for sharing it with us at STB!
Fun, funky and perfect for an 18 year old! And you gals are gorgeous! :)
Happy birthday to Danielle, who is as pretty as her mother! This card is so perfect for a young lady. Vivid colors, perfect take on the sketch, wonderful stenciling, and using vellum was totally genius! Another wonderful card, Hannelie. Hope you all have a great weekend. Bev
Great card. Love the stenciled background. The vellum was a perfect touch.
WOW! Such an awesome card for your daughter! Love your stenciled background and the font on the alphas is so fun! I'll bet your daughter loved it!
Lovely photo of you two...she's a very pretty girl!
Love your card! The velum overlay is sooooo cool!
Gorgeous photo! Danielle is the splitting image of you! You two could pass for sisters (...not that she looks old but because you look so awesomely young!)
Pragtig, vrou!!
Groete.
NS.
Absolutely fantastic. Love the vellum on this brilliant design! Thanks for playing along with Seize the Birthday!
