Hi there!

The cue word this week at casology challenge is :

Such a fitting word for today being Good Friday. With that I wish all of you who celebrate this day a blessed Easter.
May you live with HOPE in your heart every day of the year!

A very CAS card I made using my Silhouette with a cutting file I made myself :)

Muse challenge #10 and ACAS #9 (Spring)

Hi there!

I couldn't resist caseing my friend Ardyth's card as shown in this week's muse card club challenge!

The Spring flowers also allow me to enter the Spring challenge at addicted to cas.

I think the elements that inspired me are quite obvious!

Thanks Ardyth for the inspiration!

My sentiment says happy birthday in Afrikaans.

DREAM

Hi there!

With my fingers still wet with paint yesterday, I made this card.

This is how I made my butterfly, and how I added the pink "wood grain"

The butterfly was die cut from the card stock in image 2. I added glossy accents and rhinestones to finish of my butterfly.

The strips used to mask in image 3 and 4 is silver peel off stickers.

Image 5 shows the result after peel off's were removed.

Paint used is ordinary acrylic poster paint.

Sentiment cut with Silhouette Cameo

Roses in a row

Hi there!

I must admit, I hesitated (a lot) before I posted this card...

but here it is...

No stamps is normally not a real challenge to me, because I love playing with dies, and nowadays with my Silhouette. But... I wanted to challenge myself, and I got my fingers messy!
To create my roses I just placed 3 blobs of pink acrylic paint in a row, rubbed it in a circular  motion with my finger , added a small amount of purple paint, and drew circular lines in the wet paint with the backside of the paint brush.
Final touch : Glossy accents
Card stock used : Acrylic paint canvas paper.

My sentiment is a computer generated "happy birthday" in Afrikaans.

The challenges responsible for my inspiration :

Hello! Surprise!!!

Hi there!

The sketch at case this sketch this week had me thinking... outside the box, I hope!

Something that's peeking out of something... this is what I came up with:

A side view to show the chevron (de)bossing:

I used my silhouette's print and cut function to create my focal point, and colored the image with promarkers.

I only have eyes for YOU!

Hi there!

I have a little fun card and sentiment to share with you today!

This little guy is some kind of bug and he lives somewhere in an online coloring book!
The moment I saw him, I knew he could find a new home... on a card. The song title also bounced off him, with that enormous pair of glasses!

The inspiration for the design comes from 2 challenges :

casology - The song is a golden oldie from the Flamingos: You can listen to it

Muse card challenge #9

Hi there!

Just a quick hello with my take on the muse card by Marion Vagg this week.

The elements that grabbed me were the green & blue, and of course the lovely flowers. I went for a more muted look but followed the general layout.

WOW! you're amazing!

Hi there!

Hope you are all well and blessed with enough mojo to keep you crafting straight through the week!!!

This card was made with the following challenges in mind:

moxie fab world ~  Speech bubbles
moxie fab world ~ emphasize the negative
the play date cafe  ~ color splash

I will share the speech bubble in the form of a sentiment { not a cutting file} as well as the little panel on the right hand side of my card.

The "paper" is for use as is... not intended for using in a larger format.

On the wings of a ... butterfly!

Hi there!

A new week and hopefully one with lots of creativity!

I will start stamping again soon...please bear with me while I explore all the possibilities of my silhouette! {lol}

My sentiment is a birthday wish in Afrikaans...

I made the cutting file for my butterflies with the help of an image from a  coloring book.
The open spaces colored with promarkers to create the ombre effect.

Speaking of 'ombre'...

Not long ago I didn't know the meaning of the word... but strange it keeps popping up, and last week I saw LOTS of it while shopping... yes the shops are unpacking the Spring fashions!! Lots of ombre, lots of color blocking, lots of chevrons and lots of botanical designs!

I do believe that it was fashion first and then the papercraft world followed in their footsteps...

So... my eyes are now wide open watching trends!

Challenges for the card:

clean and simple on sunday ~ Flutterby { a newish CAS challenge blog... check it out! }
addicted to cas ~Wings
moxie fab world ~ ombre
moxie fab world  ~emphasize the negative
Make my Monday ~CAS monochrome

Thanks for looking!

Veels Geluk!

Hi there!

I am still playing around with my new toy and made this card for a few challenges:

I used a flower dingbat font  for the flower, and added my own frame with the silhouette software.
The sentiment can be translated to 'happy birthday' or 'congratulations' in Afrikaans.

I am entering the following challenges:

less is more  ~ frame it!

cas-ualfridays ~ chipboard... I created my own 'chipboard' by cutting 3 images and layered it to create a chipboard effect.

Thanks for visiting me today!
Have a great day!
