Hi there!
Just a quick birthday and thank you card to show you !
*Edited to add:
After finishing the card above, I couldn't help to wonder how it will look if the pattern and white were reversed... That forced me to change the sentiment... and this is how it looks!
(I also used a slightly different shade of orange)
Which one is your favorite? I would love to know!
Challenges :

simon says stamps ~ your favorite ( I used my favorite - die)

Really like them both,Hannelie, but especially love the way the panels pop on the thanks card. Great bird and great colors. I always look forward to what you design! Bev
Me too for the Thanks card! (GORGEOUS!)
Fabulous CAS cards, they both look stunning and I love your sweet bird and your 'Thanks' semtiment!!
hugs

Thanks so much for joining us with Simon Says Stamp challenge.
I like them both as well. The white background makes the wood grain pop on the top but the bird shows better with the wood grain in the back...hmmm. Definitely a toss up.
I have just found your fabulous blog..so many lovely cards and great digi images...I am now a follower..

Me? well I like the one with the Thanks on it. It to me is more outstanding. Very pretty. Thanks for playing along with us at Created with Love Challenges.

Touch call. Love all the white space on the first card but love how much more noticeable the wood grain is on the second card. If I really, really had to pick a fav, then it would ge card #2 (I almost feel bad for card #1 because I didn't vote for it!)
LOVE how you interpreted the sketch Hannelie :) I love them both! Perhaps the bird in woodgrain or a solid colour matching the woodgrain would make it pop more against the white cardstock base, just a thought LOL!
Ooooo. Difficult choice, both are gorgeous (of course) but I think I'll cast my vote for the reworked version. I like the look of the color on white. Thanks for sharing these with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
Albei is pragtig! Eenvoudige uitleg maar so treffend.

Frankly, I love them both! Amazing how different they can look with almost all the same elements. Glad you joined us this week at FMS!
They are both great cards...the first and the reverse. Think I love the second the best!
Awww both cards are gorgeous! I think the best way on how to say thank you for birthday wishes is still thru these beautiful cards. Thanks for sharing inspiration.
