Is it a flower, is it a leaf ? No, it's a leafy flower!

Hi there!

This time of the year, I can see all my favorite colors in abundance... no not outside... in blogland!
Where we live, the whole year looks kind of the same all year round. This is one thing I really miss, the change of the seasons!

To bring some color to the day, I made 2 cards in the shades of Autumn, I will share the other one a bit later.

I'm not taking credit for the creative use of the leaf stamp to create the flower... I saw a card on the Hero arts website, and came up with my own version of the idea.

Today I couldn't decide which photo shows off my card the best... the first or last one... help me out, which one?

Challenges I'm entering:
simply less is more ~pick 3 :
I picked the following
week 12 - off centre
week 13 - thank you/congratulation
week 25 - ribbon/buttons
cas-ualfridays ~ inspired by Autumn
sweet stop sketches   ~ sketch
sentimental sundays ~ Autumn

Thanks for visiting me today

The Card is lovely, the flower very clever, even if it was not your idea.

So pretty Hannelie. Love the fall colors and the pretty flower out of leaves. The ribbons look great! I think the last one is a better angle. Thank you for playing along with us at The Sweet Stop this week. :o)

Hi, nice to meet you! As to your question of which photo, I'd love to know the same! I did notice the flower immediately in the first photo. I think it looks better in that photo. Is that what you want to emphasize? But from what I hear, straight-on shots are better so that would speak for #2. I'm still struggling with this myself.
Your other autumn card- just have to say I immediately noticed the "many thanks" sentiment. Lovely. Then I saw that you created it. And many others. May have to take you up on your offer to use one. So nice of you.

I love the first photo you posted. Very clear and really shows the dimension. I LOVE the technique of using the leaves to build a bloom. We don't really get seasonal changes where I live either, so I have to depend on photos of "other" places!

Beautiful card! Not only is the leafy flower very eye-catching, but the ribbon "banners" add a wonderful touch of texture as well as fall color.
