I've had so much fun lately with the gorgeous digital stamps from Graciellie Design. So here's my first card with one of my most recent purchases 😊

 I used :

• More-than-you-know-digital-stamp-set ~ Graciellie Design
• Cut out frame designed in the Silhouette Studio
• Cut with Silhouette cameo
• Zig markers
• Craft foam for dimension

Here's a short explanation of how I did the partially cut out digital stamp:

1. Open the image in the Silhouette studio
2. Trace the image to get cutting lines
3. Do an offset (I do a 1 mm offset)
4. Move the digital stamp away from the cut lines
5. Create your frame and choose to make the frame a compound path
6. Position the traced cut lines of the image so as to overlap the frame
7. Select all and choose 'weld'
8. Now you can move the digital stamp back to line up with the cutting file you designed
9. Print & Cut

Happy Monday and thanks for popping in to take a look at the card I have to share!

I'm joining the Fusion card challenge today where they have a beautiful picture to inspire us. I usually try to take on the challenge to combine the sketch and inspiration photo... it was a bit tricky for me this time, because of the layered nature of the sketch... so I looked at the sketch with CAS eyes 👀... and this is what happened in my craft room over the weekend :

I started by creating the polka dot pattern on the teacup ( I love tea ~ Uniko Studio )

To minimize the layers for a clean look, I masked the card front and stamped the background panel directly on the card base using Beautiful blooms set ~ Uniko Studio.

Inks used :

• Versafine Onyx Black.
• Altenew inks :  Parrot, Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite.

Teacup and flower were cut out using my Silhouette cameo and adhered to the card base with foam tape.

Smile... for muse #157

Hi there!

It's been a while since I last joined the Muse card club, but the moment I saw Anita's inspiration , I knew I would make time this week!

The daisy is a digital stamp from Fish Scraps. It is one of a whole bunch I won some time ago .

Since the images are PNG images (transparent), I had to make a plan to use them the way I did and the Silhouette Studio was just the place to do that!

Those not interested in the process, just ignore... but maybe there are a few wondering how to do this... so this is for you!

I included a screen shot to show you what I mean. On the top left the petals are solid white and the image on the right you can see the petals overlapping.

1) I traced the PNG image to get cutting lines.

2) Select image and release compound path.

3) Fill each petal with solid white.

4) Select the whole image again and make a compound path.

5) Select image and use the black fill option if you want black outlines or pick any other color.

6) Now you can copy, paste, rotate, mirror or whatever you wish.

7) You can also decide which parts go over and which go under by using the 'send to back' or 'bring to front' function.

8) The image on the left shows cutting lines (red lines) but if you print it, you will get the look I have on my card.

Ok so after all this manipulating , I printed the image and then did the masking and sponging with Hero arts shadow inks in Butter Bar, Orange Soda and a touch of Pale Tomato in the centers.

I stamped a couple of black dots and added Glossy accents.

Hi there!

Just a quick card to share today for 2 challenges:

Less is more  ~ new Beginnings (one layer)

Just us girls ~ stencil

I started off by printing the sentiment.

I then masked the area below the sentiment as shown in the photo.

I used a die cut ( leaves ) as a mask (the positive of the die cut ) , and then I used the negative of the die cut as a stencil.

Looks messy and complicated ??? I hope not... because it was so much fun to remove all the masks and tape and see the end result!

I have a card and tutorial to share today.

Over the last few weeks I had a few people asking the same question regarding the sentiments I share on my blog.

"How do you get to place them on the exact spot you want it?" Well it's actually an easy one! I just make a  separate (loose) card front that I glue to my card base after printing the sentiment on it.

 Here's my little photo tutorial!

1) Copy sentiment to a Microsoft word document. Print on A4 regular paper.

2) Cut a separate card front (to size)  from card stock. Attach a piece of removable double sided tape        to the backside of card front.

3) Position card front over paper with printed sentiment. Hold against window or light box to                     determine the exact spot you where you want your sentiment.

4) Place printed paper with card stock attached to it in printer tray... check to make sure which way           your printer feeds the paper...I have to place my paper upside down in the printer tray.
    Print once more.

5) Carefully remove the attached card front from the paper and glue in position on card base.

DREAM

Hi there!

With my fingers still wet with paint yesterday, I made this card.

This is how I made my butterfly, and how I added the pink "wood grain"

The butterfly was die cut from the card stock in image 2. I added glossy accents and rhinestones to finish of my butterfly.

The strips used to mask in image 3 and 4 is silver peel off stickers.

Image 5 shows the result after peel off's were removed.

Paint used is ordinary acrylic poster paint.

Back as promised with my second card for simply less is more and cas-ualfridays!

This time I had the help of my printer... I included a few photographs to explain what I did.

One layer stripes at LIM

Hi there!

Sharing my card for this week's less is more challenge to make a one layer card featuring stripes.

At first I didn't have a clue what to do, but after a bit of fiddling around in my craft drawers, I found my peel off stickers... don't use so much of them any more, so I decided to put them to work to mask some stripes.
The centre was masked with an oval die cut...( not shown in the pictures below) where I stamped the frame. All stamping done with Tim Holtz ''victorian velvet''
I added a die cut flower, I am a little concerned, hope it doesn't count as a layer , but rather as a single embellishment?
