Hi there!
Time for some red hot colors in Color Hues Challenge #17
When I struggle with colors, I always fall back on a tried and trusted recipe for color challenges : Stripes... made form scraps of card stock, and of course, my Silhouette cameo !
I used this fortnights colors to make a birthday card for our youngest daughter who turned 25 this week on the 26th of April ! Happy Birthday Daniélle !
I used :
- Scraps of card stock in red, white and 2 different shades of orange
- Center panel designed in the Silhouette studio using the font named Bodoni FLF
- Banner cutting file from Miss Kate Cuttables
- Enamel dots
- Birthday sentiment also in the same font as the number 25
- Foam squares for dimension
I hope to see you in the gallery!
Thanks for visiting me today!

I found this combination a bit challenging as well! I'll remember the answer to that kind of challenge--stripes! The die-cut and sentiment on top make it another of your great designs!
I love what you came up with, Hannelie! So creative and perfect.
The stripes are a great idea. I especially like the addition of white stripes. I have so much scrap cardstock that I need to make striped backgrounds more often. Thank you for the inspiration and for this design idea for a great card!
Fabulous birthday card and a super take on the colour combination! Love it!
