Casology : LINE

Hi there!

Time to put your CAS thinking caps on for this week's CASOLOGY challenge !

I usually try to make sure that my card is build on some kind of concept or idea... not sure if I always succeed, but I try! Other times... well a card just happens without any pre-planned idea or concept what so ever! :)

Where the design / layout builds on the message of the card, I think you have a successful card!

The message I tried to get over with this card was : " read between the lines "

I used a very old wood mounted background stamp (origin unknown). I masked one row of  lines with washi tape, to create the space for my sentiment which was stamped  with BRILLIANCE galaxy gold dew drop ink, and heat embossed afterwards.

I added little golden hearts and rhinestones to add interest.

I hope you are inspired to play along ... where will the cue card take YOU this week?!

I am adding this link to the current embossing challenge at Cas-ual fridays.

Thanks for visiting me today!

I love the look of this card, and then when you said 'read between the lines' I really really loved this card--you are so very clever, and I just love a play on words like this.

"Read between the lines"...such a cool idea translated perfectly in your awesome card.

I love, love, love the waves...such happy movement!

Q: Did you add clear embossing powder to the Brilliance stamped image right after you stamped it? I know that these inks take a bit of time to dry, so I can see where this technique would work! Clever idea :)

Stunning card, Hannelie! I love the wavy lines in black and how you added shimmer and shine with your gold embossed sentiment and hearts! Clever way to express 'Read between the lines', too :)

I like your idea of building a card around a concept. I usually try to do that, too, but it probably only works for me about half the time. The graphic lines of this card make it work for a male or a female. I like it a lot!

Oh, how I love your card en die 'Read between the lines', vrou!!! Joe, dis slim gedoen!!! Hou van die smal swart randjies aan die kante en die hartjies is natuurlik net te cute en ek's mal oor die twee rhinestones!!!! Ongeloflik oorspronklik en perfek gemaak!!!
