Funky or nerdy?

Hi again!

I can still remember the first sketch from Case this sketch... and look at that number ~ 52!! A whole year of awesome sketches and inspiration.

A BIG thanks to the team!

You know when you look at a sketch and see something. Yes hopefully you will see something ;) but I mean you see an object... Well, somehow I saw a tie hanging there instead of a banner, and because I will soon need a birthday card for a man... I used the sketch in that way!

I wanted to use a bold plaid pattern for the tie. Now I can't decide... is this a funky tie or a nerdy tie?
What do you think?

I designed the tie using my Silhouette software, by welding a triangle and a kite shape together.

I will also link this to the Birthday celebrations at Seize the birthday.

Thanks for looking!
Have a great day!

This looks like some of my Dad's old ties, and the word funky wasn't even around when he wore them. It's a great image for a masculine card and perfect for the sketch.

Without a doubt totally funky & trendy! Plaid pants are making a comeback so you are right on track with this fun card! Love the bright colors and all the white space!

...of to learn how to weld now!

Hi Hannelie!
I think this is a great masculine card. The tie is simpel but really does the job.
Your blog title made me think of this musician we have here in Belgium, Stromae. Google him and you will see, he turns every nerdy outfit into a real cool outfit :)

Have a nice Sunday,
Charlotte

Hi, vrou, hier by my is dit net brei, brei, brei, (vir liefdadigheid) dis hoekom ek alweer agter is met my kommentare!!!
Absoluut puik vir enige man!!
Baie groete, gaan nou gou na jou ander goed ook loer en dan bad en slaap!!
