Fun in the garden

Another sun filled day here in Abu Dhabi {as always ;)}

Sun filled , just like my card today!

I made this for 3 challenges :

the pixiecottage ~ here comes the sun (+ sketch)
my time made easy. ~ pretty palette no 11
stamp with fun ~ in the garden

I used a fun digi (freebie) from sliekje.
I attempted to create some clouds in the air by masking a cloud like shape with blue chalk.

Fathersday gift set

Chevron Chic ~ spot the chevron.

Hi there!

Sometimes one can be inspired by the most unexpected object at the most unexpected time!
Since I saw the chevron challenge at moxie fab world, I was on the look out for chevrons everywhere! And then last night, I got all inspired by a piece of jewellery!

This is what I came up with...

The inspiration... I saw the veins of the small gold leaves, when repeated in a pattern, make a beautiful chevron!

Funky zoo

This was my attempt to "think out of the box" ... so feel free to tel me what you think... but hey, please be kind! ;)

Yes , a pink giraffe,and a green monkey on zebra skin, sounds funky to me!

My card for do you stack up's animal challenge.

I wanted to try something different, so I used multi coloured zebra skin backing paper.

With Sympathy

Hi there!

It's Thursday and where I live, it means it is the start of the weekend!

But before the weekend starts, my card for today!

Playing in 2 new places today :

 ~ the play datecafe ~ for the colours I used ( black, white and a splash of green)
~ stampin royalty ~ for the sketch

and raise the barchallenge~ for the theme of sympathy.

The rose digi is a freebie from digis by phooka.
I used it to create the background as well and tried some paper piecing  on the leaves of the rose.

Black and white round card

It's been a long time now that I was thinking about making a black and white card... and a round one...

So the perfect opportunity to combine the two ideas for scrapbookers paradise black and white challenge, and totally papercrafts. challenge for "dont be square". Added some stripes as well for the challenge at tuesday throwdown.It also qualifies for designed2delight's "white + one colour" challenge.

The digis is from create with tlc. Beautiful ~ I love their images!

In the garden

I want to share this card I made today for 2 challenges ~ I used the beautiful colour palette from my time made easy : Ivory, burgandy, green and blue. The lay out and theme were inspired by the sweet stampin challengeblog.

A rainbow card

Hi there!

I had so much fun creating the background of this card! I punched out 6 strips with my Martha Stewart punch and coloured each with a different colour of my Promarkers.

It is my project for the just us girls challenge to use rainbow colours. I used the my time made easy. pretty patterns #10 layout to create the card.

The centre image is from create with tlc , changed the size and colour in MS Word. Sentiment also created on the computer. The backing paper is a free download from everyday mom ideas.

Wedding anniversary

Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend!

I used my aqua markers to colour the image (I found at an online colouring page), seeing that I didn't want a solid colour effect.The sentiment (in Afrikaans) reads : Congratulations on your anniversary!

Good morning on this peaceful Sunday morning!





Gingham and dots, stripes and dots, just love it! One can achieve great effects with both!

My card for this week's challenge at  the pixie cottage. I used the lay out as well as the theme of "tag" it.

DYSU also have a theme for "add a tag" this week.

Scrapbookers paradise challenged me to use 3 old items in the stash ~ I used an old flower punch, brads I 've had for ever!! and some yellow ribbon rescued from a gift I received more than a year ago!

I used a vintage digi from Creat with TLC (again) ;)

Childhood memories

I think of all designs in the world, gingham must be one of my all time favourites. This black and white is just a classic! Combined with dots I just love the effect.

Today I created a card using the sketch from sweet sketch wednesday. I found the vintage girl with doll at Create with TLC.
I'm also entering it to sweet stampin ~ Childhood memories
There are loads of tutorials on you tube regarding flower making... I chose this ONE
