Hi there!
Don't let my post title fool you. When you live in the UAE you're not welcoming Spring with open arms... because after Spring comes Summer with uncomfortable high temperatures and humidity 😩
But ... my card looks happy and springlike and I know many of you are looking forward to Spring !

I used :
- Embossing folder from Cuttlebug
- Flower cutting file from the Silhouette store : #26839
- Silhouette cameo
- Stamped sentiment from Altenew Label love
- Watercolor paint from Local stationery store (brand unknown)
- Foam tape

Uniko-challenge-52-spring ~ Not playing with the twist of Easter
AAA cards ~ Made in minutes + optional twist of dry embossing
Happy little stampers ~ Watercolor challenge (optional twist of Bright)
After embossing the center panel, I gave it a quick watercolor smoosh of rainbow colors (on the "wrong side" or debossed side) . While the watercolors were drying, I cut the flower twice and layered it for dimension. A few splatters, a quick stamped sentiment, and some foam tape for dimension to finish this simple card in less than 30 minutes!
Thanks for visiting me today!

What a gorgeous background, Hannelie, so sweet with that little flower ... love how the watercolour emphasises all that texture! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI love this sweet card! Definitely qualifies as *bright*, but it's also fun and happy. Thanks for joining us at Happy Little Stampers for the Watercolour Challenge!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's a nice thought and it sure is a happy and colorful card. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYour card is wonderfully spring-like! We're definitely waiting impatiently for spring here in Minnesota, but I understand your hesitancy. I really don't like the high temps and humidity either.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! The colours are so pretty and the simple flower is just perfect set against them. Guess when it gets hot you'll just have to stay in with the air conditioning on and craft! Thanks so much for playing at AAA Cards and Uniko, look forward to seeing you join in with future challenges too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely rainbow. It's the through-the-sunglasses version of Laura B's recent rainbow!
ReplyDeleteDarling card! I LOVE that cute rainbow background. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteHannelie, I love the rainbow background with the simple flower and you know all that white space makes my CAS loving heart so happy. So glad you Played along with us at the Players this week

Such a cute and creative card, as usual! Love that sweet flower against the colored background. Here in Sweden I´m waiting for spring so so so much. We had snow yesterday. I hate winter. Need to move to a warmer country. I´m not a viking... Thanks for joining AAA Cards! Hugs Ã…sa
ReplyDeleteCAS to perfection, Hannelie ! Love your rainbow background, before reading I thought you made it with the rubber band technique. And this little flower looks so pretty on top. Fabulous. Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Uniko.
ReplyDeleteEchoing the others: the combination of your sweet flower and rainbow background is beautiful! Definitely a CAS-ilicious card! Thrilled to see your creativity in the Uniko gallery! My husband and I watched the road bike races that take place in your country (the UAE Tour) and WOW! Spectacular scenery!
