Happy Birthday - Make a wish !

 Hi there!

It's a happy day in the craft room when you make a card using 1) a NBUS and 2) a 'scrap' from the bits box !

It happened today... Yay!

Here's my card :

I used :

  • Happy Birthday sentiments set from Waffle Flower (NBUS)
  • Water colored background made with Distress Oxide inks  ( from my 'scrap' box )
  • Stars cut with my Silhouette cameo - large star added with the inlaid die technique and the smaller stars popped up with foam squares
  • Stamped stars from Uniko (background builders - seeing stars set)
  • Misti
  • Versafine black ink
  • Silver confetti stars

Sharing my card at :

Seize the birthday - Blue & gray
The Male Room challenge - For a teenager
NBUS - Never before used stuff

Thanks for visiting me today!

  4. It always feels like a victory when we can use both NBUS and something from the bits box. And when the card turns out to look as fab as this one, it's an even bigger win!

  5. What a joy to see you in the gallery Hannelie! I love those stars - what a great way to use up scraps and the inlay is a great way to add detail without the layer and still showcase that birthday sentiment. Fabulous! Thanks for playing along with my sketch challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches this week!
