Hi there!
A couple of challenges lined up to inspire today's card!
For the memory challenge at Casology, I decided to create a card inspired by memories of my late aunt (mom's sister). She was a woman of many talents. Baking, sewing, name it and she could do it! My sisters and I were lucky to each receive a beautiful quilted blanket made from scraps of fabric left over from the many clothes she made.
The idea of a quilted blanket inspired the get well sentiment for CAS on Friday, and I thought the bright happy color palette of the Color Throwdown were perfect for my mini quilt.
To add interest to the squares, I stamped and embossed the squires in white for Addicted to CAS , using a floral stamp from Altenew.
Amazing to think how many different shapes can be created with 4 circles and 4 squares!
I used :
- Quilt pattern from the Silhouette store #174097
- Silhouette cameo
- Paint a flower anemone stamp set from Altenew
- Sentiment strip stamp set from Altenew
- Versamark ink and white embossing powder
- Blue, pink and green card stock
- Versafine black ink
- Misti
Challenges :
CASology ~ Memories
Addicted to CAS ~ Embossing (I used heat embossing)
Color Throwdown ~ Blue pink & green
CAS on Friday ~ Feel better
Thanks for visiting me today!
Hannelie
What a beautiful card Hannelie and how lovely to read about the memories that inspired it. The embossing on the coloured centres is very effective and I love that the sentiment fits so perfectly! Thanks for playing with us at ATCAS this fortnight :) Vicky x
