Hi there!
I had a last minute idea for the stretch your stamps challenge at A blog named HERO !
Fortunately the execution went smoothly and here I am with a couple of hours to spare before the challenge ends.
I couldn't decide if I should make a flower or a wreath... so I made both with one simple leaf stamp !
A huge stretch considering the stamp I used is from one of my first ever Hero arts stamp sets. You'll see in the photos below it's been used A LOT! So hang on to those older stamps, and take a look at them with fresh eyes!

Wow. What an idea. Gorjuss poinsettia.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe what a perfect poinsettia that leaf stamp makes! So clever of you. The leaf wreath is pretty, too. Love them both.
ReplyDeleteI thought that poinsettia was a stamp!! Your are a total GENIUS!! Beautiful cards!!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, that's a leaf? I never would have guessed. It makes as beautiful poinsettia as it does a wreath!
ReplyDeleteThe wreath is very pretty but the poinsettia is just too clever. Now I have to look at my leaf stamps and see if one would make a flower. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards out of one stamp! Fabulous! I'm really liking that mirrored circle behind the poinsettia too
ReplyDeleteYou've used this stamp beautifully all three time, Hannelie! Love the poinsettia and the wreath! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!
ReplyDeleteCes deux cartes sont vraiment magnifiques, belle idée pour la fleur, j'adore !!
ReplyDeleteBises ♥
So cool that you've used your leaf stamp to create a beautiful poinsettia! Very creative, Hannelie! Great way to use complementary colours too! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!
ReplyDeleteTwo seasons with one image, Hannelie ... so clever! The shine of the frame around the poinsettia is fabulous with the jewel centre ... and the rich colour on your leafy wreath is just deliciously autumnal! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteSo clever to use that leaf stamp to create a poinsettia! And of course red and green are the perfect complementary colours! Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThat last sentence should have said “thanks so much for joining us at CAS WAtercolour.”
ReplyDeleteSuch elegant and artsy cards! Love the technique you've used here. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Watercolour again:)
