Birthday card in subtle watercolors

Hi there!

I was so inspired by THIS technique from Instagram friend Channin from Craft Ghetto , I couldn't wait to try it! I think this technique will cure me from overthinking when I try to stamp a background.  Using watercolor in the form of distress ink, give the flowers a multi color look and it doesn't have to be so precise. So much fun!

I used :

  • Adore-you-stamp-set ~ Altenew
  • "Wishes" stamp from Happy little stampers
  • Birthday sentiment cut with my Silhouette cameo {# 50178}
  • Distress inks and spritzed water
  • Rhinestones
  • Craft foam for dimension

I'm playing along in a couple of challenges :

Less is more ~ Subtle colors

Just us girls  ~ Of the edge

Time out challenges ~ Embellishments

Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge ~ No designer paper

Seize the birthday ~ Anything goes

Thanks for visiting me today!

  6. I saw this video the other day too and I'm about to try it out right now!! Your flowers look gorgeous, definitely a good image to use for the technique and the black sentiment is brilliant against the colour. Always so lovely to see you at TIME OUT!
