Altenew February challenge.

Hi there!

Have you seen the beautiful inspiration photo for February at Altenew ?

Bougainvilleas thrive here in the UAE, all year round and we have quite a few of this exact same pink color in our garden. Needless to say... I was inspired and have a card to share... and I am sure this is not the only one you will see this month!



My card:

I used the Doodle Bloom set and a sentiment form the Floral Frame set.

The leaves were colored with Promarkers, and the flowers stamped on paint splashed card stock that was left over from THIS card. Always useful to save those scraps... you never know when you will need them!

Lastly I stamped some of the tiny dots of the Floral Frame set and finished of the card with a bit of bling.

I want to share 2 photos of the bougainvilleas in our garden, taken on a beautiful blue sky day :)

    Stunning card Hannelie, makes me want to get my stamps out and start creating (the trouble is it's late at night and I just got home from work and I'm heading there again tomorrow, the smart thing to do would be to go to bed....lol)

    Love how you popped up the sentiment over the leaves. So pretty and beautiful. . . you've inspired me to create something similar. I so want to live where you live. . . .with those beautiful flowers which means warm weather!!

    This is gorgeous, Hannelie! I love the way you coloured the leaves and the flowers. Those Doodle Blooms are some of my favourite Altenew stamps.

    Beautiful flower and leaves card and design Hannelie. I love the watercolor effect you achieved on your pretty flowers. I have that set and you have inspired me to use it soon :-)
    TFS your beautiful bougainvillea flowers from your garden. The blue sky looks very inviting too with all the rain we have been having this Winter, but spring will be coming soon. I would much rather have rain than snow though! Hugs....

    O, vrou, Tiaan het nou net gebel ek moet hom by die skool kom kry, maar ek wil net eers gou se dat hierdie nog 'n wonderlike skepping is met so 'n lekker vrolike lente gevoel!!!!! Ek dink jy het fantasties gedoen met daai stamps en hoe jy die kleur gedoen het is baie kreatief en kunstig en dit lyk pragtig!!!!! Ek het ook daai stampset, maar nog nooit het ek so 'n mooi kaartjie daarmee gemaak nie!!!!! Mal oor jou ontwerp met die sirkel!!!!
    OK, nou moet ek eers hardloop!!!!!

    I love what you've done with this stamp set. Had to go check it out. So cute! I never realized before that Bougainvillea gets it's color from the leaves. At least I think I'm seeing it correctly. It doesn't grow here on the rainy, cool Oregon coast. It's breathtakingly beautiful!
