Hi there!
Nancy is the hostess this week at The Paper Players, with a theme challenge:
I have a shiny blue snowflake card for your inspiration!
up close...
and another angle...
Every time I have to photograph a foiled card, I tell myself... NOT AGAIN!
So pretty and shiny IRL, but oh so difficult to take a good photo!
Even the slightest change in angle , and the color changes or the shine is gone. But I guess that's why it's so amazing IRL !
Anyway, I did my best with the 3 shots above.
The snowflake is from the Silhouette store Design ID #48503.
I used the black fill option, printed the snowflake with my laser printer, cut it out with a small offset, and added Decofoil from Therm-o-Web with a laminator.
I also designed the sentiment in the Silhouette studio, and foiled it simultaneously.
The sentiment, for you to use, if you wish to 😊

What a stunner! I bet this is A-mazing IRL as it looks fabulous on the screen. Thanks for another gorgeous sentiment too, Jo x
ReplyDeleteWay to let the snowflake take center stage. Fabulous cards!
ReplyDeleteI am in LOVE!! That shiny snowflake is STUNNING!! I so know what you mean about photographing foil. It is impossible!!! Great design!
ReplyDeleteOh that is glorious! I love the way it is so different from different angles - foil is an amazing thing! xx
ReplyDeleteWOW! A stunning stylish card, it must look AMAZING in real life!
ReplyDeleteSue xx
I am imagining that luscious foiling IRL! I know it makes this card even more special than it looks on your blog--and it looks beautiful there. I imagine this is a card that could be made in multiples quite easily, with different colors of foil. Oh my, a set of them in rich colors would be incredible!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the different angles...they all look awesome! Amazing cards Hannelie.
ReplyDeleteCrisp and classy! And foiled again by that foil......I can so relate! Love this design!
ReplyDeleteLove the sentiment and the beautiful foiled card. Just beautiful, Hannilie. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteStunning snowflake, Hannelie. Love this foil paper. Even though it's difficult to capture in photo you've shown us how beautiful it is!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see this beauty IRL! Hannelie, simply stunning!
ReplyDelete=]
You had me wondering at first, Hannelie, but I did see the stunning blue foil snowflake by the third photo.
ReplyDeleteBig, bold and dynamic!! Love the colors and love the sentiment (thanks). Fabulous color!
ReplyDeleteRead a trick somewhere on line: Hold the same color foil/shiny paper in front of the card (but outside of the image frame of the photo) you are photographing. The color will reflect back at the card, therefore keeping the color true! Works great to get rid of the 'shadows' that seem to affect glossy paper. Sometimes a bit tricky to get the 'reflecting' paper in the right spot, but once you do it works slick as ever!
Hannelie I love your big, blue, beautiful snowflake! It's interesting how it looks so different photographed from different angles. Wish I could see it IRL!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Hannelie. Your cards always amaze me.
ReplyDeleteAwesome snowflake....so striking!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! And I personally LOVE the angles, and seeing more of what you're seeing!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous and I can imagine how stunning the foil looks in real life!
ReplyDeleteJust amazing how the card changes with the angles. Beautifully CAS Hannelie.
