Hi there!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend with lots of crafty time!
It's Sunday and time for a new challenge at The Paper Players !
Although we don't really have Fall weather in this part of the world, I remember Fall/Autumn in South-Africa to be my favorite time of the year. Crisp blue skies and the most amazing colors of nature, just the way I like it!
Laurie is hosting this week's challenge, asking us to make a CAS card and use a Fall treat such as apples, pumpkins etc.
Here's my card :
A closer look:
Let's start at the black & white checkered pattern. It's a template or 'digital stamp' from The Pixel scrapper. I opened it in the Silhouette studio and cropped it to fit my design.
I then added my sentiment using the font Aprilla script as well as the Silhouette cut elements.
Basic chevron shape from my library of shapes, and the apple from Miss kate cuttables.
A few enamel dots to finish off the design.
I used the layout provided by Freshly made sketches.
Also adding my link to the CAS challenge at Simon says stamp Wednesday challenge

Happy little stampers ~ Anything goes with dies.
Thank you so much for visiting me today!
Wishing you a great week!

Groetjes, Gerrina

ReplyDeleteWhat a great take on the sketch, Hannelie! I didn't think this sketch could be CAS :) Wonderful combination of bright red/green and black graphics.

ReplyDeleteThis is so bright, colourful and modern Hannelie - a gorgeous fall and (teacher) thank you card!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a strong graphic design, Hannelie. If your card were displayed on a rack in a store, it would be worn out from all the customers picking it up to get a closer look!
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS card! Thanks for sharing. I enjoy pixel scrapper too but regularly struggle to find just what I'm looking for. Do you have any tips for searching the site? Thanks for any hints you can share.
