Hi there!
It's time for my favorite challenge of the month at The paper players... Clean & Simple time , and Jaydee is our hostess, who chose the topic/medium... watercolor!
My card:
A closer look:
I used a stencil and watercolor to create my card. Remember when you stencil with watercolor, you need to restrict the amount of water, to avoid color bleeding through the stencil.
The sentiment is from Uniko studio (Flower Power#1)
I am adding my link to the following challenges:
Uniko studio ~ Flowers.
Less is more ~ Repetition ( repeated stenciled rose, stamped sentiment and added pearls).
Freshly made sketches ~ Layout.
Thanks for visiting me today!
Hope to see you join us at The Paper Players!
Hugs
Hannelie

Elegant, classy and beautifully done - what a fab LIM entry! Love the colours you've used for the watercolouring.
ReplyDeleteSo soft and soothing...goes perfectly with the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteLoving these roses, Hannelie. I can image watercolouring through a stencil isn't easy at all! Great idea to create the ribbon style sentiment strip too.

Absolutely perfect! Your watercoloring with a stencil is flawless! Gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteLove this beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the stencil water coloring....fun technique!
ReplyDeleteLove the watercoloured stencil look! You've done well to keep the edges crisp & not bleed under the stencil. I can't quite conquer that even with less water.
ReplyDeleteUne carte absolument superbe, délicate et pleine de raffinement.
ReplyDeleteBises ♥
Quite delicate, and GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteDeze is echt super mooi! Mooi zacht en die tekstrand geeft het toch weer een geheel eigen draai... Groetjes, Gerrina

Beautiful card Hannelie, the watercolouring is perfect and looking at the card it looks like it is die cut.
ReplyDeleteStunning! Love how the flowers have an almost 3D appearance. Thanks for playing at Uniko.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I thought this was done with a stencil when I first looked and sure enough. Not easy with water colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job watercoloring through a stencil! And the image you've chosen is gorgeous! So happy to see you at FMS.
ReplyDeleteyou definitely make it look like you used more water than you did using a stencil - wow - at first it looked like you cut out those shapes and the watercolour was on a layer below.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the soft look that water coloring creates? More so when paired with some divinely textured paper!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Hannelie - there is a real technique to watercolouring with a stencil and you most certainly have nailed it!
ReplyDeleteOne word says it all.....GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteSoft, delicate and lovely, Hannelie ... what a wonderful serene feel to your card! Hugs, Anita :)
