CASology Time!
I used chevrons to create a background for a sentiment only card:
I created the BG in the Silhouette studio.
I used a solid line chevron shape as a starting point. Instead of cutting straight lines, I used the rhinestone setting which transforms straight lines to dotted lines for the use with rhinestones. A function of the Designer edition of the studio I love to use, not necessarily for rhinestones!
I added color behind the top panel to create a ombre effect, and added a Silhouette cut sentiment (design ID #46981) and completed the sentiment with a computer generated sentiment.

Love the ombre behind the chevron. So fabulous.
ReplyDeleteSo clever - I don't have the design studio, only the normal studio.
ReplyDeleteBold, graphic and fabulous, Hannelie!
'n Lieflike skepping, vrou!!!
ReplyDeleteGroete en geniet die Woensdag!!!!
Very pretty Hannelie! I love the unusual chevron :-) and ombré color behind it.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
This is wonderful! I'm so impressed at how you get such good cuts with your Silhouette. I definitely need to practice with mine!
ReplyDeleteAwesome chevrons and I love the font on your sentiment, Hannelie! Really fabulous take on the Cue Card!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought of using the rhinestone setting for this purpose, but I love it! Will have to give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration, Hannelie!
ReplyDeleteSo very awesome Hannelie! So many cool details - the chevron pattern, the ombre, and fab die cut sentiment.

ReplyDeleteI love that big 'hey', Hannelie. And the chevron is wonderful. I'd love a die like that.
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, Hannelie! Ombre behind chevron looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous ombré, Hannelie ... those dotty chevrons are fabulous ... I was wondering if it was a die (which I was going to add to my wish list!) ... then I read on and found it was one of your silhouette masterpieces! Deliciously graphic! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool option to make those dots - I love it! And that swirly "hey" makes me happy. :)
