Celebrate !

Hi there!

It's the start of the weekend here in the UAE... and a busy day on the blog. This is the first of 3 posts today !

The card I am sharing, was inspired by 2 challenges:

Muse card club ~ Caseing Michele

Just us girls  ~ trend week-vellum


celebrate with streamers and vellum

I fell in love with the lovely fresh color palette of Michele's card. That was the starting point of my inspiration. The little streamer attached to the balloon also caught my eye, and I decided to focus on that to create my faux embossed background. What goes with streamers... celebrations of course , so I added a shiny silver sentiment which was designed and cut with my Silhouette. The font I used is called modern no 20.
To add interest I layered the sentiment over a piece of lime green vellum (offset and also cut with Silhouette) and added a couple of enamel dots in green and silver.

    Love love love your interpretation of Michele's Muse card; love how the lime green vellum pops the sentiment and how you used "faux" embossing by using die cuts. SOOOO clever.

    Joe, daai streamer op Michelle se kaartjie vang dadelik mens se oog, ne en jy het nou alweer so slim, dit die ster van jou kaartjie gemaak, vrou!!!! Jou streamers is regtig vrolik en so mooi in die wit op wit!! Mal oor jou lime vellum en hoe jy die sentiment gedoen het!!! 'n Lieflike, vrolike skepping, vrou!!!!

    I really love your faux embossing, and how it created so much movement on this card! Fab shade of green with all that gorgeous white space, too!

    Love the dimensional streamers in your background and the green vellum adds the perfect touch! You are so inspiring with your use of the Silhouette. Sadly, mine primarily catches dust due to its location. I need to figure out how to make it more user friendly in my tiny crafting space.
