Seize the birthday with no toppings

Hi there!

For the next two weeks at Seize the birthday we invite you to link any newly created birthday card as it is a no topping week!

Since Summer is all around us, I decided on a sun/Summer themed birthday card.

My card was made by cutting a stencil with my Silhouette, and painting with water color paint in yellow, with just a touch of orange. I used only a very small amount of water . If you use too much water it might run beneath the stencil and you won't get a neat look.

I added my sentiment after the paint has dried completely.

Here's the sentiment  for those who might be interested ;)

I am linking my card to the challenge at Less is more where the theme is " HELLO SUNSHINE " and the STENCIL IT challenge at Simon says stamp

Thanks for looking... hope to see your card in the gallery this fortnight!

  1. Such a sunny, happy card! I'd never have thought that you've used a stencil if you hadn't revealed it. Looks like a perfectly handdrawn sun.
