thanks!

Hi there!

Melissa and the team at CASOLOGY want to see grass as design element this week. I decided on green , green  grass, because it's a luxury here in the desert!

This is not the first card I made that uses supplies from the grocery cupboard :)

I have used food coloring as water color 'paint' before, but for today's card, I went a bit further... I colored coconut powder with green food coloring to create my grass... so much fun!

I used a spray adhesive to stick the 'grass' to the back panel, and modge podge spray to secure and seal it.

A flower and sentiment to finish everything off.

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

  15. Wow, Hannelie! This is fabulous! I love how you made your own grass! Before you described how you made it, I was under the impression it was a photo of grass - so your grass is very realistic looking! Bravo!

  23. Coconut!? !!! Incredible! Oh, and by the way my dear AAA Cards DT- I really appreciate that you are a mixed media artist! I think digital work in addition to handwork cards is sooooo satisfying. But this card is in the NEATO zone.
